MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :-

Why is Fixya no bloody good at answering questions when you advertise you can answer questions

Sorry. I\'m from Europe, know things about electronics and computers but I don\'t drive a Kawasaki GTR 1000. Lots of questions about electronics, camera\'s, computers phones and operating systems I try to answer. For the more than 2000 answers I gave I got lots and lots of thanks, but I never got one penny. All the people who try to answer questions, do this for free. They at least have the standard they don\'t try to sell crap or don\'t answer things they don\'t have any idea from.

If none of all the volunteers has (or has had) a Kawasaki GTR 1000 it is not likely anyone can answer this question. I do have some manuals, yes even service manuals of motor bikes, but not one from Kawasaki, so I even can\'t look up what I could answer to your question.

I think one call to a place where they sell Kawasaki cam tell you what oil you need. They perhaps even have it in stock. But not knowing any motor home close to me, I do not make such a call.

I hope you understand all the volunteers here do their best, but can\'t answer all questions. I do have to admit your questions are very clear and better to understand than lots of other questions, but we (till now) don\'t have an answer.

Again Sorry.

My amp will turn on and even when I have the guitar and amp connected no sound comes from the amp. I don't know what to try to fix it, so I have left it alone, testing it every once in a while (it...

Possibly a loose connection, or bad solder connection. unplug it from power.

If you think you are up to it geta soldering iron and some solder, and a screwdriver, and take the amp part out. be careful of the speaker wires. put some tape on each one and label them so you know where to put them back. after you got it out you might have to take some more screws out to get the board off of the chasis, so you can see under it. this is where all the components are soldered to the board. maybe use a magnifying glass. touch up anything that looks questionable.
do all over. you don't need to know what everything does if you just go all over. careful not to cause any shorts. you might see something that obviously needs to be fixed. you have found a problem. you can't fix something if you don't find a problem. do all over anyway if you think you still have to.

Put it back well enough to test it. then put it all the way back together, or continue to look for a problem, or take it to someone, like me!

Good luck

In UNO, I put down a plus 4 card, pick a color I DO have in my hand..the next player picks the challenge, it's successful an I ge the cards. Why? I'm not lying I have the color. Why am I getting...

The way UNO works is, if you put down a "draw four" card, you can make the color anything you want, you may want to pick a color tht's not in your hand if, you think the next player could go out if you pick a color you know he/she has. The color could change before it gets back to you anyway. Maybe the game has changed dramatically or, these are rules i'm noy aware of but, a draw four card not only makes the next person draw four but, it also skips them. In the event the person after the player you skipped, reverses play, you could get a draw card laid on you.
http://www.noprivilege.com/ab/uno-howto.html
This link shows what cards you get with the UNO game, and the rules. It is true that if you play a draw four card when ypu had the color in play in your hand you can be challenged and if, say the color on the table is red, you have a red card in your hand, if you throw the draw four when you have a playable "red" card in your hand, you can be challenged and made to draw four, but, if you do not have a red card in your hand, you can call any color you want, even if you don't have the color in your hand.

My speakers just out of the blue began to buzz in the middle of a song. The volume was low & did not seem to effect the buzzing - after I turned music off speakers began to make a high pitched ringing...

I've never worked on this model so I can't give you a definite part value or location, but you'll probably find a bad filter capacitor (or possibly more than one) in the power supply. The power supply converts the AC power line voltage to the DC (direct current) needed by the electronics. If the filter capcitors don't work, the result isn't smooth and steady, and the result is an annoying hum. You're probably hearing this.

It's possible to replace the bad capacitors, but it's not always easy. The people who make computer speakers don't often design them to be serviced, and sometimes it's a challenge getting into the power supply. But if you or someone you know with some electronic soldering skills is willing to give it a try, you might be able to bring these speakers back to normal. Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!

Recently, the wine fridge has started to make a whirrring sound that lasts around 4 or 5 seconds, then stops for around 20 or 30 seconds, then starts whirrrring again. Sounds a bit like a man moaning....

it was the internal fan in the upper rear section of the fridge. Apparently, since it is mounted so close to the rear panel, the sound seems to amplify from the back. Anyway, a replacement fan was only $3.71 direct from Danby, but I did have to pay 7.99 for shipping. Also, there is a fair amount of disassembly and re-assembly needed, which might be challenging for those who don't typically make their own repairs. Once removed, the only thing I could find wrong with our old fan was that the shaft was very loose in the unit, which may have indicated a bad bearing.

Spell checker not working in Yahoo email

" A few of you have been reporting that you are having issues with the spell-checker in the new version of Yahoo! Mail. I just want to let you know that we are aware of the issue and will have a fix out soon.
In the meantime, you can use the built-in spell checking functionality of some of today’s modern browsers. For example, the latest versions of Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari all have in-line spell checkers. If you don’t have one of those browsers installed or don’t want to install one, you can use classic Yahoo! Mail until we have rolled out the fix (from ‘Options’ click the ‘Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic’ link)."
