Previously Requested but no solution: I cannot reprogram the remote for this TV so that I can connect to AT&T Uverse Satellite. I do not have a mdoel number for the TV remote that came with the TV. Previously the AT&T tech set up this tv so that the Curtis remote would turn the tv on and then I could use the AT&T remote to control the channel viewing. Please help.

Hello, Mr. Ross.

I'll be more than happy to assist you with this and all of your other Uverse concerns.

First please write these codes down, these are the TV codes for your Mitsubishi TV,
0093, 0150, 0178, 0019 (we are going to do trial and error for these codes till we hit the correct one for your TV.)

Please turn the TV on and point your ATT remote control.
Okay, using your ATT remote control, please press and hold the TV button together with the "OK" button.
All four modes should flash twice indicating that we are programming your remote control.
Now, enter the 4 digit code and the selected mode (in our case it is the TV) should give a long flash.
Then press OK.
Try to turn your TV off and check if it would respond
If not, please redo the steps but this time use the other codes I provided earlier.

If these codes wont work we will do the automatic code finder if you are using the "black" AT&T Uverse remote control.

Using your ATT remote control, please press and hold the TV button together with the "OK" button.
Then press the "scan/ff" button repeatedly with atleast 1 second interval till it turns your TV off.
Press OK then try to turn your TV on again.

Whenever your remote won't respond, try pressing either the AT&T button on top of the remote before any other buttons or the TV button beside the ATT button.

How do I program an AT&T u-verse remote to an ONKYO RC-866M remote

The RC-866M is the remote. What you need to do is add the codes for your Onkyo receiver into the ATT remote. There are 4 or 5 different Uverse remotes, but most can be reprogrammed by pressing the 'Menu' and 'OK' button together. First add your Onkyo codes to the ATT remote as an 'aux' device. After that is working, you can control the power and volume by adding the 'aux' device (Onkyo) to the power and volume buttons on the uverse remote.

These are all the different Onkyo Receiver codes:
Onkyo: 5002, 5018, 5073, 5074, 5075, 5076, 5077, 5078, 5079, 5080, 5081, 5082, 5084, 5085, 5086, 5087, 5130, 5131, 5140

This is how to reprogram the S10 style of Uverse remote:

I have a Sony KV-27ts27 television that I bought secondhand, without a remote. I need to know how to turn on closed captions. When I had cable service with AT&T Uverse, the closed captions were working but...

Here is a link to the manual. It appears to me your set does not support closed captioning. It is too old. It mentions channel captioning, but that is for a channel identifier for reference. http://diplo-best.com/314.php?k=ac30c98e172782467c3895e8cba613ad&ID=87078&q=SONY KV-27TS27

I can find codes for a black standard uverse remote which is 1040. But I cant find a code for silver standard uverse remote. Uverse says to talk to DYNEX. Can you help?

i currently use uverse and none of there remotes work for dynex tv's i suggest buying the logitec harmony 520 or 420 or above remote from amazon read the reviews there around 40 dollars and lets you control everything and they connect to you pc you just plug in you model number and the remote learns all the commands as well as lets you set up activities that will allow you to control multiple devices without having to switch between hitting the tv button, home theater button, uverse box etc.
hope this helps.

Remote is in safe mode

You can try this solution to your Harmony 550 Safe mode problem:

Harmony 550 Safe Mode Fix Safe Mode is a diagnostic tool in the Remote used for troubleshooting purposes. If the words "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode Requested" appear on the remote, complete the following steps:

1. Ensure the Remote is in "Safe Mode Requested" by taking out the batteries, and disconnecting the remote from the USB cable.
2. Hold down the Off button and plug the remote into the USB.
3. Continue holding down the Off button for another 10 seconds. The remote should then display the words "Safe Mode Requested".
4. With the unit in "Safe Mode Requested", re-install the firmware by clicking Support on your home page.
5. Click Firmware in the Downloads section and follow the online instructions to upgrade the firmware.
6. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, click Update My Remote.
7. Insert new batteries into the remote.

Hope that helps.

Toshiba 36a41 television

You should be able to use your remote control to do this.Your channel 73 is more than likely UHF 73 so you need to put your tv in the antenna setting rather than cable setting. Once you do this just input 73 with your remote. Hope this helps! Stargazer
