A couple of possibilities; oven thermocouple failure or the igniter is dead.
If the latter has failed preventing the initial ignition, the thermocouple will shut down the gas supply quite rapidly.

my smeg oven has always never worked properly, the temperature is faulty etc i now want to remove this oven and have bought a new electrical oven but cannot seem to get the smeg oven out. How do i remove this smeg oven?
My Smeg oven will not work either. All I get is an "A" on the display, the clock has disappeared and as a result the oven won't come on. I see from other postings here I can bypass the clock so that the oven works again - can anyone advise how I do this?
If this is an Electric over, the heating element is damaged. The device has a open connection. These element break down often. Usually, the manufaction will sell this whole element as one fixture. They are usually easy to replace.
If it is a Gas oven, the polit is out. Sometimes they go out, and its ok to relight them. But this sounds like an Electric over!
This is late response but this fault is your fan element. You have two of them, if heating slower than usual, it is only one that has failed. When replacing one, it is recommended the other one be replaced. Tripping the circuit breaker is the symptom. These elements 2100 Watt each are anywhere between $70 to $110.
