It is important to start from the plug point and check the continuity to the switch assembly. Now use a multimeter to check, check from the plug top to the switch and then the contacts of the switch to the motor. Once this is confirmed we are certain that the power cord the switch is working. If not these are to be suspected or replaced.
Now if there is continuity to the motor but without any action then the motor must be checked in detail.
1. Check the brushes , if worn it will not contact and so will not work.
2. If the commutator has worn out the brushes wont contact , try and clean using an emery paper on the brushes and the commutator.
3. If the coil winding is faulty then motor must be replaced if not rewound.
4. finally check if there is play on the bushes/bearings as this can keep the brushes from contacting.- check the springs for tension.

Stand cake mixer not working. No power when turn knob think water got inside. You think a fuse is out or something? Can it be fixed?

If your stand cake mixer is not working and you suspect that water may have entered the device, it's possible that a fuse or other electrical component may have been affected. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:
  1. Unplug the mixer: As a safety precaution, unplug the mixer from the power source before attempting any troubleshooting or repairs.
  2. Let it dry: If water has indeed entered the mixer, allow it to dry thoroughly before attempting to use it again. Place the mixer in a warm and dry environment for a few days to ensure all moisture has evaporated. Do not attempt to use the mixer while it is still wet, as it can be dangerous.
  3. Check for visible damage: Once the mixer is dry, carefully inspect the external components for any visible signs of damage, such as burnt marks or loose wires. Pay close attention to the power cord and the area where it connects to the mixer.
  4. Check the fuse: Some mixers may have a fuse that protects against electrical issues. Refer to the user manual or consult the manufacturer's website to determine if your mixer has a fuse and its location. If the fuse is accessible, check to see if it has blown and replace it if necessary. Use the recommended fuse rating specified by the manufacturer.
  5. Seek professional help: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact the manufacturer's customer support or consult a qualified appliance technician. They will have the expertise and knowledge to diagnose and repair any internal electrical problems safely.

I have the 7 speed Cuisinart hand mixer and it is stuck on 1 speed is there any way to fix this??

Hi,

Please disconnect the power from the device for 5 minutes, reconnect and attempt to change the speed again.
If that does not work, please eject the beaters and attempt the change the speed with them ejected before re-adding the beaters. Thank you.

Won't turn on

When your stand mixer does not turn on the problem might be a lack of electrical power, broken wires or a failed motor or control problems. First, check the outlet's GCFI breaker and reset it if it's tripped. If the mixer still won't work when plugged into a working electrical outlet then unplug the mixer and check the power cord.

Cannot remove the flexi beater

I have read on other posts that it is the nut at the top of the beater that is causing the problem. You need to rotate it downwards toward the beater in order to have sufficient room to push and rotate the beater out. This didn't work for me, nor did attempting to remove the whole plate by undoing the lug beside the beater insert. Now that I have worn the lug and the nut I cannot get it repaired at a Kenwood service specialist as I have attempted the repair myself.
My advice is to go straight to a professional. Whatever they charge it will be cheaper than being stuck with a machine you can only use some of the time and have to replace!

TURNED ON MIXER, BEATERS WOULD NOT ROTATE. ATTEMPTED TO REINSERT BEATERS TURNED ON AND MIXER STARTED TO SPARK. IS MIXER REPAIRABLE OR BETTER TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE?

You can try to replace the batteries again and see where that gets you.
As far as repair if the batteries don't work, I would recommend getting a new one.
Also check to see if it is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty period.
Good Luck

Have power to mixer but no lights and doesn't turn on......

If you raise the mixer arm you will expose a reset button that may have been tripped.

What's a good screw to adjust the head

Hi. You don't need the perfect screwdriver to make the adjustment. Please note: The adjustment screw only turns a half turn in either direction. Turn this screw all the way to the right (clockwise). Do not attempt this with the motor running. Start and stop the mixer between small adjustments (counterclockwise) until you're happy with the results.. If you find that this solution has assisted you, please rate it. Good luck! ricardok45

KitchenAid 325 Heavy Duty Stand Mixer runs with low power & clicking noise

well there is a couple of things to try
1. see if kitchenaid sells the motor or
2. if a local appliance parts store can get the motor
this is the only thing you can do about the motor , the wires in the motor are shot and it will need reconstructing in the wireing, that is why it won't run fast and strong , because the wires have been heated up to much and now they can't create a strong enough magnetic field
but to replace the motor shouldn't be to hard just a little patience
if you need any more help just let me know!

Kenwood chef 700w

I hope you didn't buy a new one, ours stopped last week after 25 years. All that was needed were new brushes for the motor. Anyone with a screwdriver could replace them. 4Kenwood had the parts to me in a couple of days.
