Samsung HLR5064W DLP Projection TV Questions & Answers
No video from receiver
It's all in the setting of your receiver, you will need to acces the menu page from your receiver. I would refer to the instruction book index if you still have it. Check the index for hooking up HDMI.
If you have lost your instructions, I suggest, Google your model number. Most Manufacturers have the various instructions on line by model number. Hope this helps.

Samsung HLR5064W DLP / Replaced
Hello there,
When your samsung DLP television is not turning on. And all you get is a flashing light. Then it means there is a problem inside the unit. The flashing light is an indication that something is not right with the system.
Basically, when the television is flashing this light and not turning on, it simply means there is a bad capacitor on the main board of the television. Once there is a bad capacitor on the main board of the television, the television will not be able to utilize the power getting to it, therefore not making the television not to turn on, and then result in the flashing light.
You will need to run a check on the main board of the television for a bad capacitor. Also check the whole replacement you made if there is any part that was not replaced properly.
Be sure to switch on the lamp from its switch that is in the compartment where you replaced the lamp from, that is if your lamp has a switch on it.
Hope this helped solve the problem.
All the best

Hi,
"Out of range" message indicates that the output from your computer to display it from your Samsung HLR5064W DLP TV is too large. You need to adjust the screen resolution settings for you TV. I have attached images of display settings dialog boxes from different versions of Windows.
You may open the display settings of your computer by clicking on START > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY. While your TV is connected, click on IDENTIFY button. You will notice that numbers 1 and 2 will appear briefly on your screens consecutively. As the dialog box shows 2 monitors with numbers 1 and 2, click on the monitor with "2" on it. Then, adjust resolution to 1280 x 720 as this is the highest resolution your TV can handle. You may adjust the TV (monitor #2) to be IDENTICAL or to EXTEND the display of your computer. You can also assign it as the main monitor but not recommended. Click OK then try to toggle your computer's display. You should be able to see a display from your TV this time.
I hope this works for you. Kindly reply for further assistance. Good Luck!

This could be a problem with the HDMI connection. Could be one of the following:
.
- Poor connection. Make sure the cable is plugged in tightly and that the plugs and sockets are clean.
- Bad or damaged HDMI cable. Try another cable.
- Cable too long. Check your owners manual for the signal source to make sure you're not using a cable that's too long. This isn't too likely in an average home.
- Wrong type of cable. If you need to buy a new cable to test #2, make sure it is Category 2, or High Speed.
.
Post the results of your testing if you're still having problems.
