I don't know which is fan #2 but if you take the back off, you will see one fan right in front of you. The other is harder to get to. It's the black box inside the silver covering with the holes (in left lower part).My TV was acting up by having only one color showing until I let it cool down then it would work fine. I cut a hole in the plastic back cover and mounted a bigger computer fan. Just spliced it in the wires of the little fan. Fixed the problem

Sounds like a problem with the Vertical Video Card. Have fun finding one. If your TV is still under warranty... send your TV off for repair.

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Below are more details for both items. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. HelloIt is best to get it service by the technicians from the authorised Hitachi service center, because,it light engine should be checked and cleaned. It is really a very skilled work, and can't be done without proper tools and sound expereince. Just call the service center and ask of service. OK.

When did you replaced lamp last time in this tv?
It seems its lamp replacement time as existing lamp is near to die.

hi,
Check the lamp colling fan is it working or not. Also check the connection on the lamp holder is proper or not, possibility of connector burning . then, you have to check the lamp power supply. check the fuse in it. if all these are ok then you have to change the lamp power supply.
