Use the scroll wheel on the side of the phone to highlight "power on" then press the wheel in, just like a button..... this will select that option, and your phone should now turn on.... you can use the scroll wheel like this in normal operation, instead of the touch screen.... hope this helps..

You can try Factory Reset or Master reset. Also the best would be use SEUS and reinstall the firmware.

I installed a new firmware, with SE Update Service (about 100mb).. and the problem was gone.. strangely a master reset didn't work at all...

Could you post the brand and model of your phone. Also are you still on the warranty perioid?

i have the same problem with my w960i. what i did is replace a new touch screen. i brought to mall repair shop they qoute me 4,000 pesos. what i did is i bought a touch screen then , i ask the small time repair shop to replaced it, then it cost me 2,000 pesos all in.

Hi, this happend to me a few months ago when i dropped it on a hard floor at university. I had mobile phone insurance so simply got it repaired. What i would do is connect the W960 via usb to your pc, (fast file transfere mode) this will enable you to got all your pics/music/vids off. After this you can try a mobile update using sony ericsson update software or take it to a authorised repair shop. Hope thins helps mate.

Take a toothpick and carefully push that black plastic untill it kinda "locks"

Try putting phone off. Then with a very soft cloth clean the glass surface with just your breath for dampness. Clean until it is very clean indeed.
