These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. I'm assuming you tv doesn't turn on but you have the red light indicating power , it's possible you have more than a faulty switch , common fault is the power board has blown one or a few capacitors , you could try replacing the power board on the tv but some tvs will not start if there are other faults , namely faulty inverter , faulty power board , if the display is faulty , it'll be cheaper to buy a new tv

your backlight PCB board failed. today TV's can be removed and replaced very easy. Disconnect it, open it up and look for the damage board. you can order a new board from the manuture

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player. Look for loose contacts of jacks, sockets and cables.Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

Check its back light inverter board for the fault. This is a skilled work. Contact any experienced service technician to get this set repaired.

My 3-year old 52-inch Toshiba flat panel TV (Model # 52RV53U, Serial # AM409000295) developed a display problem (purchased Aug. 2008, manufactured July 2008). Vertical multicolored lines appeared on the screen just left of center. The band of thin vertical bars is 5.5 inches wide. The lines are about 1/16-inch wide. They are stationary, always exactly in same place. They over-ride any other picture on the screen (no transparency). They are there all time even with no video inputs to the TV after the unit is turned on. See picture #1. The TV works well in every other respect, but, obviously, it is annoying to watch the picture with the color band blocking about 1/6 of the picture.

I already swapped out the TCON board with no improvement and replugged the TCON board cables with no improvement.

Most likely it is the flat panel tab bond failure (panel made by Samsung). Further resolution updates will be on my Facebook page.

Toshiba seems to be not supplying it, back-ordered. Sometimes available on eBay.

looks like the lcd panel is damaged contact the toshiba service on your area

Hi color lines might be caused by your T-con board. you can get parts for this TV at www.interliquidparts.com

Hi the lines could be your screen. It can also be your t-con board. the T-con is the part that connects your signal board to the lcd scrren. it is located on the back of the screen attached to the screen. If you open up the TV it is located on the middle top of the screen under a metal or plastic shield. You can get parts for this TV at www.interliquidparts.com
