My 2 year 9400 charging
Hi,thanks for posting your Question..
Most times, when you keep using a
TSU9400 remote which needs to be charged, and you always remove the charger from it and fix back when you need to charge it again..It makes the mouth of the port where you insert the pin charger to go weaker every time..
So in the issues you might need to replace the port where you insert the charger into..Or you can test out another charger first to confirm if it will charge properly..
If it does not charge,that means you might need to contact your repair canter in your area for help.

If you have a digital multimeter,set it into a dc voltage measurement.then measure the charger terminal of atleast 5-12v dc.if you have a reading then check the contact between the remote terminal and the charger you can lift out the charger terminal to exposed it to the remote and easily connects when you insert the remote.
If you dont have a voltage reading on the charger terminal then you have to repair the charger.this require opening the cover.make sure to unplug the charger to the wall socket before attempting to repair....use a soldering iron then resolder all the components inside the board..speciallt the charger terminal...check also the fuse..good luck and let me know so Ican give you further solution.

Well it can be a battery fault, as well as loose connections between the lcd strip and the main board circuitry. You have to double check both possibilities one by one starting directly from battery first...

Thankyou for the offer, but I finally fixed it.
I searched high and low on the Internet and finally found a document that led me to believe it was WIFI problem. I reset (switched off and on) the WIFI receiver, and removed/replaced the battery in the remote control and hey presto. it worked and is still working.

I'm assuming that you have checked that the sound is not muted. To confirm that a reset to factory settings is the next procedure: Menu - Setup - General - Factory settings. If you don't see/hear any modifications then it's a hardware defect, not something with the settings.
This happens when the tv thinks that the headphones are used. Simple test to confirm that: plug in a pair of speakers and see if you get the sound on them. If you get and the situation doesn't changes when you unplug them then this is a mechanical defect: the small switch inside the headphone jack is faulty and keeps signaling that the headphones are plugged in when they are not.
The only way to fix that is to replace the jack, which involves a very delicate soldering procedure , one that only a good repairman can do - you must call one.
