i need to update my maps for my amcor 3900

You probably shouldn't put your cell number here. even if it's been a year.

Unfortunately Amcor was one of the many companies that put out GPS units, and then never really took care of the updates. Then in January of 2009 Underwriters Laboratory issued a press release stating that Amcor was fraudulently using their symbol on the 3900 as the units were never submitted for testing. UL advised anyone who owned a unit should immediately return it to the the point of purchase. Their website is now shutdown, so you cannot even try and get an update from them. If you search around on the web there are a few hack sites that claim to have updates. They of course do not guarantee in any way that the update will work with your unit.

The only thing you can do with this issue is to reseat the SD card and press the hidden reset button in the side with the stylus. This will help you fix the problem. However, there might be some data that will be wiped out when you do this.

The Amcor 3900 gps is a direction finder. Once you get it going, it contains directions and maps to anywhere you might want to go.

I loaded it to pop up the email form for you. Just email them and ask for an owner's manual for the 3600/3900 or ask any questions you have, such as how to get it going.

they went out of business years ago, but the device can be hacked ,it runs windows ce, same as pocket pc's so you can make it run igo or other navigation software, go here and check this forum out

ok this device uses the same PIO Loader (software) and Maps as the MIO system.

1.) go here
http://service.mio.com/M0100/MainFrame.aspx

click on POI loader download and install it,
launch the software
connect your gps via usb cable.
yur done.
