There is an end of form sensor in the paper path that is likely stuck or the rollers cannot turn due to some other Jam. The machine will throw that message if those two mechanisms cannot function. Look for debris in the printer - give it a good shake.

have you tried to unplug it for a short period of time and then plug it back in.if this doesn't help let me know

1: are the cables proper connected?
2: is the printer powered on?
3: are the drivers installed?
If they are, try to update the drivers
if they dont, Please install drivers first. DO NOT CONNECT PRINTER.
first complete installation and then connect printer

If you have Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and are using the installation CD to install your printer, that is most likely the reason for your problem. Uninstall all Lexmark software and  download new 10.6 drivers from lexmark.com . If you get an error saying ' Color Table Missing ', you should contact Lexmark Technical Support and have them walk you trough a more thorough cleanup process. 

If that's the case, try not to use the installation cd to install the software in your computer. Instead, use the one from the Lexmark website. Also, check if your computer is running on 32-bit or 64-bit by going to Start Menu > right click on Computer > Properties. To download, just click on this link http://bit.ly/bs4lm6 . On the page, click on Microsoft tab found on the center of the page. Download cjb6500Win7en.exe if you have 32-bit operating system. Download cjq6500Win7en.exe if you have 64-bit operating system. Install the software. The software also gives you instructions on how to setup the printer itself. Hope this helps.

Hello. You will need to reset the X6570 printer first. Use the printer control panel to reset, press Settings > choose Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Setup > Reset Wireless Adapter to Factory Defaults > choose Yes. Wifi light should turn off and will light up solid red/orange eventually. Now, you need to uninstall the existing driver from your computer by going to Start Menu > Programs > Lexmark Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Restart your computer. Check if your computer is running on 32-bit or 64-bit by going to Start Menu > right click on Computer > Properties. Download the driver compatible for Windows 7 from the Lexmark website by clicking on this link: http://bit.ly/9iZgtC . On the website, click on the Microsoft dropdown found below the page. Choose the operating system of your computer. Download and install the software. Hope this helps.

try uninstall the driver and insatll it after that reboot and connect printer!

you can go to printers and faxes (XP) or printers (vista) in control panel Right click on the printer and click on properties. Go to advanced tab and click on printing defaults. It will pop up the printer printing preferences. choose the desired setting. To disable 2-sided printing, go to advanced tab in the preferences window and turn off the feature. Click ok to save all settings. Go back to general tab and click on printing preferences and set desired settings if there is a need. Click ok to save settings. Then, for all changes to take effect, click ok button on the lexmark 6500 series properties window. Try to print again. Hope this helps.

you're going to need the installation cd for that OCR software. It can't be downloaded online since it's a big file. You might want to call Lexmark on their toll-free 1-800-LEXMARK for the cd. Hope this helps.

You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

kindly reinstall the printer driver with printer driver cd it will automatically add fax printer.

Let me clarify the problem. You have a printer and do not have a disk drive or CD/DVD Rom to be able to set up the printer.

If this is the case then do the following:

1. Navigate to the Lexmark website. http://www.lexmark.com.au
2. Click on the link for the Drivers & Downloads section, located at the top right of the page.
3. In the Search for Downloads field - type in: X6570 InkJet Printer. Press <Enter>.
   
4. Click the Downloads link.
   
5. Click the link for the correct computer type and system. OR click the Learn More link on the Right.
6. Download the driver (which is an .exe file).
7. If the .exe file doesn't automatically launch, then find it and open it.
   

Note: If for some reason this doesn't work, then contact Lexmarks support.

Thanks for using FixYa. First, verify that there is actually no paper jam (open all the doors, take out the paper tray, take out the cartridges and visually inspect). Turn printer off and unplug the printer from all cables (power, USB, etc). Try to hold it upside down and gently shake it so that if there is any paper inside it’s removed. If still it’s not resolved then clean the print head. To clean the printer take a hot water towel with the printer unplugged and the cartridges out, clean it till the time you see there is no ink residue on the towel.

You computer would need to be involved in that witch you use the computer to retrieve the image and then store it to your usb storage device as the scanner image is raw until it is saved so it needs to go threw the computer first.


If a pin was set in the printer for this you need to call lexmark directly to get a resett from them

please note that I am not an expert, in this field just an attorney and that is why I am putting my full disclaimer right here at the top---That i am not an expert but only speaking from experience.

Earlier this morning, I just pulled the cartridges to check the Lexmark print (X6570) cartridge numbers (41&42). When I typed these numbers in on inksell.com to retrieve the price and other information for these cartridges, they did not have any refill kits or anything of that nature for these specific cartridges.

To answer your question about why the printer is not detecting that your cartridge is full is probably because the cartridge has a chip in it that essentially disables it once the original manufacturer ink is empty. tHEY [Lexmark & Dell] do not want outside competition In other words, the printer manufacturers make the bulk of the money on selling new cartridges (for a fortune) . To make matters worse, they always seem to be half empty even though they are ‘brand-new’ ink cartridges The bottom line is that the faster you can go through a printer cartridge, they can sell many more of the cartridges that they are charging us a fortune for.

Needless to say, I am just going to go and get me another HP printer. My advice would be to check to see if ink-refill kits (see sites like inksell.com) are available for any future printers that u purchase.
