If your computer does not reckognize the mic then you have to go online and do a search for drivers for that specific microphone!!!
Usually the website for that company will have a free download page...
For example you can put in a search for "Logitech drivers" or "Logitech Microphone Drivers" if that was the type of mic you had..
Look for the website first officiaclly then you may have to talk with or put in a ticket with their Customer Service..

Well you can try this solution to get it too work. The thing with the XBOX 360 is that it has a hard time syncing with other controllers made by different companies. So try these steps first and see if they work if not you might have got a set of bad drums.
Step 1. Turn on XBOX 360 Step 2. Turn on drums (hold xbox button on drums). Step 3. Press sync button on 360 (XBOX ligh on console should start circling Step 4. Press sync button on drums [under D pad] (xbox light on drums should start circling)
If this doesn't work then you should RMA the drums to http://rockbandservice.ea.com to replace the bad ones.

Guitar for rock band does not work with guitar hero :) I found that out the hard way as well.

You have to turn on the controller and then join. However Guitar Hero 2 doesn't have microphone support other then xbox live chat.

ask someone expert or go to the service center. even it is costly, it should be repaired. once it repaired, keep it safe and soundly, take care of it, and don't use it hardly.

If the red drum isn't working it means there's a problem with your wires. Try seeing if your PS2 controller connectors are all intact, then see if the wire is intact (i.e. if it's not twisted, scathed or severed at certain places) you might also want to try connecting the controller in a different port on your gaming console.

maybe there's a short in the guitar wiring or loose connectors on the jack. I would examine it internally with a jeweler's lense 10x magnifier. Something may need resolder or possibly a component like a diode/capacitor may need replaced.

want to know if it’s possible to use a Guitar Hero guitar with Rock Band for the Wii. The bad news is that you can’t, which is a shame because we know you can with the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. There have been a number of third party Wii guitar controllers released so I thought i would let you know .

The buttons are pre-tuned to the exact frequencies for the key of the songs you are playing. The whammy should only be pressed when you are 'bending' the pitch, so if you have your hand resting on it while playing even just slightly it could cause an out-of-tune feel.

If you are creating your own songs in the studio, then you can choose the key you intend to use and that pre-tunes the buttons as needed. You can even create custom keys in that setup.

You may wish to validate the frequencies using a pitch pipe, but I think you will find that the digital programming prevents any possibility of it being out of tune.

sometimes the wireless reciever may interfere with other devices, try unplugging all compnents including power, switch on after 5 mins then reset by the console and try again, if this does not work, it may be a faulty guitar or receiever, thanks
