ok try this most phones come with the basic 12345 code for locking mode or last 4 digits of phone number she probably hit the button and it locked not by punching numbers that would be too complex
now there is * and then menu for some phones to lock up and unlock
try that and see if it works

The code that the phone is looking for is the phone's security code. Check under SMS settings if your service centre number is valid. Try sending an sms from another service provider's sim, or a different one from the same service provider. if all else fails, contact your service provider and ask them for the sms service centre number which you need to key into the phone

re-calibrate your screen via the setup wizard. if that doesn't work, try installing upgrade software (os) if that doesn't work there is a hardware failure

first thing you have to ask is if the .sis file is compatible with your p990i. A lot of files out there says it is but it isn't realy. If it's not compatible with you phone, then it wont upload or install. The best way to check if you hardware/software settings are ok is to install a java app via pcsuite. If it installs ok, then the sis file is not compatible and there is no way to force the phone to install it

What do you want to do on the PDA's powerpoint? you cannot edit or create .pps files, only open them. The easiest way is to go to the location where you opened the file and open it from there, not from the PDA's application. Another point to consider is if the file was created with Office 2007, there is normally an "x" the .pps (yourfile.ppsx). so unless th creator made it accessible to previous versions ( xp, 2003 etc) the phone wont recognise the format and wont open it

I would suggest a Reset to your phone..

Just go to Control Panel > Master Reset..

Do take a back-up on your PC before as this process WILL ERASE data..

and then try to delete the messages again..

Hi -- this is not possible yet. The P990 is a Series 60 UIQ 3 phone and neither Sony Ericsson, nor Apple, nor a third party, has written the code to enable iSync usage for this phone. (Or the Nokia S60 phone either.) It was rumoured that Apple would sort this out for Leopard, but they haven't. What you can do for contacts is Send them from Address Book to your phone, but that is a one-way thing and you can't sync changes later, just delete the set from your phone and re-send an updated one from your Mac.

Are you trying to send/receive using the Google application for Gmail? If so, I've used it for some time and the only problem I have is if the data connection falls briefly, in which case I just hit the button again and it normally comes back up.

I haven't tried setting up Gmail in the built-in Messaging application but I imagine it should work ok *if* Google has enabled your account for IMAP -- they haven't done this for everyone yet.
