You need to Get a Disk Laser Eye Cleaner. It is like a DVD Or CD But it has Brushes on the Face that will Clean the Reading Lens. This should solve your Problem.

Good luck finding a direct replacement for this unit. A universal replacement can be found at many internet vendors for $30 to $50. RB-270 manufactured by INITIAL. 9.0V and 5400mA which is a great improvement over the OEM battery. Fully charged this battery should last 2 hours or more. NOTE: This is not a direct replacement and will not attach to your DVD player as the form factor is universal. It will reside next to the player during operation... a minor inconvenience. I think WALMART carries the same model.

ribbon cable issue found with this device. look inside at the white ribbon cable. The cable likes to bunch in bewtween the spinning hub and the eye assembly, after time it may even develope a rub spot that will shut you down for good. If the cable is bunched up, try pushing it back into the bottom of the device and try again.

I will assume you have tried several different DVDs. Try a CD also. I have found that this is caused by either the laser eye needs cleanning or has gone bad. Try cleaning the eye gently with a clean/dry Q-tip. Otherwise, the laser drive will have to be replaced.

There are probably only two reasons for this that I've seen. One is the button is stuck or the button circuit board is faulty. You can removed the bezel from around the screen and operate the control button at the board itself to see if the exterior button was sticking. If this doesn't work, the other cause will probably be in the video ciruit located within the main board and is unrepairable but replaceable.

Have you tried Ebay? If you used to proper charger, you shouldn't be able to "overcharge" the battery unles the charging circuit is bad. When battery is attached, will the player "ON" lite come on? Will it try to play a DVD/CD ?

Those can be very fragile to remove or install. Sometimes all thats needed is the transformer board. Check for proper power and possible blown fuse. I may have the parts you need.

This is probably a bad or stuck switch on monitor board.

There usually is a 3 position switch. One position is for STAND-BY. Sometimes there is a seperate switch. Check switch positions.

Sounds like it may be a bad linking cable or connection. Make sure you have cables inserted firmly and correctly. If possible, hook main unit to TV to be sure you are getting proper Video/Audio output.

If you cant get a dc to dc plug for your DVD player. Try an AC to DC inverter. Here is one from newegg for twenty five bucks! Hope this helps. :}

You need to first make sure weather the charger is working fine next thing u should notice weather ur battery is charging or not. If u have been often running it on Batteries then u might need to replace the battery.

It could be the codec u use to encode the movie,
secondly could be a firm ware problem of your dvd player.
Other than this I can't think of any other reason. or just may be the type of recoreder u use or the recoding programe. If u had check these, then get another player
