are you using leopard os x? when you said you loaded the driver for the printer, did you use the disk that came with the printer?

When printing paper not moving through although sounds at though printing
First take paper out and try to print, If you hear and see paper tray moving then it maybe you have paper jam. Let me know what happens ?
