Samsung 226bw visible flickers just after it is turned on

You may have a faulty inverter or loose power inverter connection. OR
You may have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

Plug it in and all you see is white screen

There are two problems, microprocessor controller not working properly, and the LCD panel is defective, replace the video cord from the computer to the monitor if possible just to rule out the screen issue, if no change! I recommend replacing the item due to cost over runs to repair.

This model may have defective capacitors in the power supply. I normally replace the 2 or 4 bulging caps and normal function is restored.

The fixxing sound can be from arcing in the lamp assembly.
http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Bad%20backlight%20lamp/

The inverter will go inot shutdown if it senses open circuit (lamp does not fire up), or too much current draw (arcing voltage to the lamp casing).
You need spare lamps to test the inverter board.

When I turn on my computer my monitor keep

might be just the invertor going bad, mine does that when i install new devices, you can probably check the hertz its set at. 65-70 is a good setting check the setting of the video card.
could be a sign the monitor going bad, capacitor are usually the culprit, you might need a professional look at it, test it with another computer to be sure.

if it still blinks then the lcd might need a look at.

most LCD now 19-21 inch wide screens are cheap, check and ask if you get it repair how much it would be, buying a new one might be your best bet, because if you repair it, something else might go bad on it.

Monitor Flicker for awhile and then settles down

The problem is in the power supply/inverter board, this is usually caused by bad capacitors that in most cases have slight bulge at the top causing it to flicker and eventually shutdown. The only option is have them replaced.
