System dead

Hi Fr.David You mention '..info on BIOS..' Is your BIOS (or anything) displaying on the screen? If screen is also dead, then your PSU 5V (red) section is suspect. As the fans are fanning then 12V DC (yellow) is still OK. To check your PSU, unplug & disconnect all power connector cables (note where they go, esp the M/Board supply). Some PSU's have a green 'signal good' wire which to test must be grounded with a paper-clip etc to black. This tells the Power Supply Unit to start up. Black is common negative, Yellow 12V positive, Red 5V positive. I'm positive. I hope your test results are not too negative. ;) Hope this helps. Clive.

No boot on start up all fans start but no video

I had same problem!
I figured there was something wrong with my memory because that is what the manual says the constant beeps mean.
I bought a new PNY memory stick 1 gb DDR and got the same beeps when i put it in.
So being totally disappointed I tried putting the Stick in the #3 DIMM. I booted up and IT WORKED!
I have not called tech support or tried both 1 & 3 DIMM together but I will try after I set up the rest of my computer.

I turn on the computer

It could be overheating. After it shuts down, restart it, and enter BIOS SETUP, and look for a "PC Health" or "Status" entry on the menu. If you're lucky, it will report the current CPU temperature, and the speed of the fans, and the settable temperature at which it will shut itself down.

Check the capacitors on the motherboard -- any capacitor with a "dome" on top, instead of perfectly-flat, is a leaking capacitor that is intermittently failing.

The boot drive blue screened.

Fist clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor specifically around your central processing unit making sure there is no moisture in the air line
as dust will cause a lot of static which will make a computer overheat and cause lots of problems
then test your power supply unit PSU
try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive one bad lead will cause a computer to shut down
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
press delete during boot up process enter BIOS then f1 for general help then run chkdsk/f which will automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive
hope this helps good luck
you have to keep?a computer very clean & free of dust ?and? give it regular?maintanance
?
good luck with this

Nstdr is missing

You need to reinstall Windows if you took it out of a different system. Windows is built according to your hardware when it is installed, you can't just drop the HDD into another, completely different, system and expect it to work.

Back up any data you want off that drive and format and reinstall windows and any other programs you want. That is the only way to make it work in your situation, sorry...
