I have a Sharp Aquos
It's possible that you have a faulty component on one of the circuit boards inside your tv.
It sounds like your backlight is working OK since the screen is lit up despite having no video so the fault is either with the MAIN BOARD, the POWER SUPPLY BOARD, or the LCD CONTROLLER BOARD (otherwise known as the TCON BOARD).
Does the sound work properly for any of the inputs or is that blank as well?
Was there a power failure or brief power flicker that you noticed at your home recently?
These can precipitate failures as the LCD TVs are succeptible to power fluctuations.
Is your TV still under warranty?
Are you willing and capable to unscrew and open up the case to the tv to conduct a visual inspection and some basic troubleshooting?
One asy thing you can try before starting the hardware / circuit board troubleshooting is to unplug the power cable to your set and leave it out overnight. Plug it back in the next day and try turning it on again to see if the fault was cleared by the reset.
If that does not solve the problem then just comment back here to this page with the answers to the above questions and I will go into much greater detail about the various troubleshooting procedures you can employ to diagnose the problem with your tv.
Thank you very much and good luck.
Joe.

Hi
Make sure the AC cord is not loose or disconnected. Check to ensure the cord is firmly plugged into the outlet at one end, and firmly connected to your television at the other end. The AC cord connects to the television about midway across the back of the set, near the bottom of the back panel. The hole for the AC connection is shaped like a figure eight. Try powering up the TV with the cords firmly connected.
Check the "Main Power" to ensure it is on. Locate the button on the top of the television among the "Volume" and "Channel" buttons. Press the button to switch the television on. If the "Main Power" button is off the remote will not turn on the television. Wait to see if pressing "Main Power" will activate the TV.
Press "TV Power" on the remote control to power up the TV from stand-by mode. If the power light on the front of the television glows red when you press "TV Power" on the remote, press the "Main Power" button on top of the television to remove the TV from stand-by. If the TV is accidentally in stand-by mode it may not come on when pressing certain buttons.
Check the circuit board. If your set still won't turn on and you hear a clicking noise when you plug it in, you most likely have a defective circuit board.

HelloJust unplug your tV from AC mains, and leave it thus for about 10 minutes, and then replug it back. See whether this process help you or not. If yes it's ok. If not, and you did forget the passcode, there is a way to clear the passcode.[1] Press MENU to display the MENU screen, and then press C/D to select serup.[2] Press a/b to select "EZ SETUP", "CH SETUP", PARENTIAL CONTROL" OR "RESET" and the secret number input screen displays.[3] Press and hold both CH r and VOL k on the tV simoultaneously until the messege appears on the screen. As a precutionary mesure, make a not of the secret number above, and keep it in a safe place. If you cant get any menu screen, make sure that the main system control section indie the circuit board is faulty. It may be wither to a loss of supply voltage to that section or a damge to its system memory IC. System memory IC damge is a common fault to most of the TVs, and it will not cost more as this 8 solder terminal IC wont cost more. If you are aware in electroncis, and have confidence to do this work, and have ability to follow the schematic diagram of the set, inform me by Fixya. OK.
