Is it possible to retrieve lost video if it was accidentally deleted or put in the trash can
If your camera has a memory card or hard drive stop using it immediately so as to not record anything on it over any other recording. There is software out there that can recover erased material if nothing has been recorded over it such as other pictures , videos. You install the hard drive or memory card into a compute with the software and if you are fortunate you may be able to get it back.

JVC Camcorder - used wrong power lead to charge battery
They sell external battery chargers for these for around 10 bucks at Amazon. Just pop the battery in the charger. Beware the battery itself can be worn down or dead. It also has protection circuits right inside the battery that can be blown (maybe a small fuse too). A new high capacity battery (3 times the recording time) is also at Amazon for around $25.

Why does my camcorder start up in japanese and have a vertical line through it sometimes
My guess is that the internal battery (not the main battery) is faulty and it has lost it's stored settings. Try changing it to English and keep it charged, don't let it deplete, see if it retains the setting. As far as the line is concerned, without a proper description its hard to say, but often bright highlights will cause a line down the display because of the way the imaging chip works, that is normal if it is only present with highlights

Replacement screen
Does the resulting video or photos show the dots? Do some test shots and transfer them to computer to view. If the dots are not in the resulting images or videos, then the LCD is going bad but still usable. If the dots are in the images, it needs service repairs.

SD card
you can try some data recovery software. You can see
recover files from sd cardIt tells the steps how to perform data recovery. If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use
sd card recovery software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.
