Coffee will not brew, all

Is the coffee urn heating plate getting hot? If it is then I would focus on the actual heating element, I think that is your problem and one that is not easily serviceable.

Just purchased a PSTX series coffee maker. It is

No in the BVMC-PSTX90 or 95 series.
If this is your model, Is a good coffee maker.
If you are NOT drinking your fresh brewed coffee withing 25 min. YOU DON'T WANT a warmer/burner.
And the reason why, IT BURNS the coffee. You don't have this problem with the "thermal Carafe".

I Love my Mr Coffee,

It is likely that it is clogged up with scale. If you live in an area with hard water, especially well water, the calcium in the water is left behind when the water steams away. Take about a quart of regular vinegar and pour it into the tank you normally pour the water. Let it stand about 30 minutes and then run a regular cycle as if you are making coffee except without the coffee grinds in the brew basket. Keep pouring fresh water through it until you not longer smell vinegar coming out. It will put it back into normal running condition.

We have an FTX41 12 cup mr coffee maker. Suddenly

Ours (FTX41) did this, made a pot of coffee in the morning just fine then a few hours later we went to make another and the water just poured out the bottom. I took out the 6 screws (4 philips and 2 torx under the rubber feet). When I took off the bottom one of the hoses to the heating element had come off. I put it back on and everything worked fine. It took about 15 min. to fix and put back together. Poor design on the hose connection, no clamps of any kind.

Stop brewing

We have the same coffee maker, but almost most are similar in parts and function except for some additional twinkies. My question is does it warms up?if not you have a fusible link problem.Leaving the unit on for awhile usually overloads the heater causing the capsule like fuse to break. If you like to do the replacement yourself yo can buy the parts at a local hardware or electrical store. It looks like thisedmisch_1.png

Mr. Coffee FTX45, worked yesterday. The display

If you have an ohmmeter take the bottom of the unit off and check the thermal fuse for continuity that is the most common failure. It's located inside an insulated tube and clamped to the side of the heating element. If that is ok another clamp secures the thermostatic switch usually a porcelain body. When cold it should be closed or show zero resistance. The thermal fuses are available at Radio Shack but replacing it requires it's leads to be welded because solder melts at 350 deg F.
I have replaced them successfully by using crimp connectors available in the electrical dept. of your nearest auto supply. Hope that helps.

My coffee making won't brew coffee?

If it turns on and nothing is happening it may be that the burner for the water is has gone out. At that point its cheaper getting another coffee maker then fixing it. They all come with a one year warranty you can probably send it back to Manufacturer and get it replaced.

Reset clean filter light

I found that unplugging for a minute or two, the light goes off, then I pushed the select button until the red light comes on solid, not blinking and will proceed through the cleaning process ( have the cleaning solution or vinegar in the reservoir). The red light will then go off once the cleaning process is over. Hope this helps.
