How do you thread a kenmore sewing machine

Put the bobbin on the short metal stick on top of the machine. Unthread the machine. Put the spool of thread on the tall, left side stick on top of the machine. Take the thread and wrap it counter clockwise around the circular, short, metal thing on the left side of the top of the machine, only 180 degrees. Thread the thread through the hole in the bobbin (which should be on top). Press the bobbin to the right, into the little white thing. Pull the turning wheel on the right side of the machine out. While holding the end of the thread, softly press the presser foot so that the thread goes around the bobbin a few times. After that, cut the end down to the bobbin. Now, press the presser foot down and wind the bobbin until it stops on it's own.

Check your connections, maybe it is only partially plugged in or if you have it plugged into a GFI plug in it may just need to be re-set

Kenmore 15343 incorrect stitching

When you see the bobbin thread on top of the fabric this can be on e of 2 things usually. 1) thath the top thread tension is too tight or that the bobbin thread loose. Remember the saying righty tighty, lefty loosey. If you have adjust the top tension and it has helped just not enough perhaps you need to try the bottom a small screwdriver to turn the little screw on the outside of the bobbincase may do the trick. only small adjustments 1/4 turn at the most at a time to the right to start with.

Thread is clogging up under fabric and is not catching bobin thread

I have the same problem, I fix it by removing both Shuttle hook and Bobbin Case and tested it to see if the shuttle hook rotated freely within bobbin case. I noticed the screw for the tension spring was too high and was rubbing agaist bobbin case. Just tighten screw on spring and and recheck for rubbing.

How do I install my darning foot?

First, raise the presser bar, remove the presser foot, the presser foot holder and screw.

Turn the handwheel to bring the needle to its highest position.

Place the darning foot on the presser bar and make sure that the metal bar of the darning foot is above the needle clamp and put the screw back on and tighten.

As the needle bar raises and lowers, the foot will hop up and down slightly.

Make sure that you always lower the presser bar when using this foot. Lower the feed dogs also if your machine has this feature.

Kenmore sewing machine (new) - bobbin threading

If the bobbin winder is not turning after pushing it on it will either be that there is some oily rsidue on the winder rubber, the winder rubber is worn on one side although if the machine is new it is very unlikely, the winder rubber is not connecting with the balance wheel which means an adjustment and that will mean getting inside the machine which is not easy.
