Pottery Barn. How can I fix a sticking second hand on this pocket watch?
If the second hand is misaligned and binding on one of the other hands the repair is fairly straightforward but will mean opening the case and making an adjustment with the delicacy of a surgeon and without wishing to insult you - if you have to ask how you probably aren't the best person to do the repair, especially if something else is causing it to bind.
I suggest you hand the responsibility to a local professional...

Changing Watch Batteries
Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10!
Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15!

Yours is most likely a 'Clip On' type which you lever off.
Most watches use one of three methods to access the battery. 'Clip on' back cover, 'Twist Off' back plate and a 'Screw Down' back cover.
'Clip On' back covers are usually smooth ands round with no notches or holes. They are levered off using a blade style lever. Some watches even have small grooves or a small lip sticking out to lever against. Most common watches tend to use this style.
'Twist Off' covers usually have evenly spaced notches or round dimples around the edge of the cover to mount a special tool to unscrew the entire cover plate like a bolt head. Some higher priced watches use this system.
'Screw Down' cover are the easiest to spot. They are usually more square in shape and held down by four tiny screws, one in each corner. They appear most often on 'Sport' watches.
