if you have good knowledge on electronics you can open it,otherwise don't open, if, you will damage more much better bring to the nearest service center...

try to do some basic troubleshooting in hardware...let see checking the connection from device to other device.. using other connector or connection cable..if there programs need to be install just install or go to internet and type your problem, you find the solution..

Check to see if there are any scratches or laser burn marks on the discs. If there no scratches evident on the disc, try a laser lens cleaner, these are normally quite cheap.

Scratches or marks on discs will render game discs unplayable or will freeze the game and will often show a message stating "Disc Read Error" or something to that effect. Best remedy for starters, is to clean the discs and make sure there are no scratches or marks left on the play-side of the discs. A common problem that XBOX owners are reporting is; if the console is moved during play, a whirring noise is heard and then when the disc is removed, very visible laser burn rings are found on the disc.

Laser burn, looks like complete or partial circular scratches around your disc. This occurs to discs when the games console has been moved whilst playing. Discs are then impaired by a ring of laser burn, which is a circular scratch into the disc. Some home remedies may help with very light scratches on some discs but a professional disc repair service is normally required to fix laser burn scratches or damage to XBOX discs.

Hardware Error - HSIO related, could be crc error, or many things: There is high chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip near the AV cable connection) it can also be caused by a faulty AV cable so check that first. Microsoft covers this error under their 3-year warranty, this is availble to anyone who hasn't modified their console. contact MS to get a free replacement console before attempting to fix this yourself. Failing that this error In some cases it is a problem with the GPU and may be repairable by doing the x-clamp replacement.
Error in the "Digital Backbone" (CPU/GPU/RAM), this is usually caused by a cold solder joint between the GPU and the mainboard.
There are two theories to fixing this one deals with the "X" clamps that hold down the chips. The other involves re-Heating the chips. DO NOT attempt either of these if your console is still under warranty. If your console is still under warranty return it to the store where it was purchased or call MS to have it replaced.

I got this problem last night. you have to be connected to live, and it should automatically ask you if you want to update. say yes, or you'll be signed out of live and you can't use the kinect. That will fix the problem.

4. KINDLY REMOVE THE HARD DISK & TEST IT.
5. IF THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS, KINDLY REMOVE THE LENS COMPARTMENT & TEST IT.
   

You will need a new power supply go to game stop and trade your old one in they will give you a discount and get a rebuilt one they go out a lot.

The best way is to send it to xbox and they will fix it for free. If you have moded the xbox with a chip they will not fix it the reason it does this is that the heat sink has gotten loose they did not use the best paste i have had brought them back by putting a towel over them and letting it sit for about five min wrap the towel tighlty around it then take towel off for about a min and then try but this is just a short time fix it will do it again.

hit up a dollar store for a lens cleaner, hopefully your lens is dirty, only solution fast enough where it may work before he gets home, also with disc in, flip upside down and restart system, if there's no loud sudden noises it may just work (seen it done). if these don't work your repairs need a more drastic approach, also try vacuuming vent holes. good luck

normally this means overheating. let your console cool, and it should boot just fine.

Found out through Microsoft that code 7 is a HDD failure. Only wat to fix is to replace the HDD.
