The only reset on a dryer that I know of is your house breaker.

Check sensor for fluff. We have asko tumble drier and have had to clear this of fluff many times. Take bottom panel off, as if removing filter to clean. Located on left hand side is a plastic cover, grey, secured by one security head screw. Once screw is out carefully remove circular cover uncliping clips. Inside is a sensor with a plastic cage around it, about size of one pence piece, clean fluff out with toothpick for example. This should do the trick. Good luck.

your dryer element is shorted to the element housing which is the same as ground and this will blow the fuses,remove the elements electrical connections and isolate the connections, and now if the 15amp fuses don't blow then you know the element is the problem

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Check to make sure you are getting full 220 Volt power to the dryer, if you are then:
Check your Wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. In this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.
Check the Door Switch
If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed. If not replace the door switch.
Check to make sure you heating problem is not a lint build up in the discharge hose or the dryer,as this condition can cause heater/thermistor problems such as overheating of the heating coil leading to failure of the coil and burnout of the thermostat/thermistor due to overheat.
Sounds like your problem may be with the heating coil. Remove the back/or front just under the door of the machine and try to locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside/outside the air duct you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistors. Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor one at a time by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape or with an ohm meter to test the thermostat/thermistor. (Should have/show continuity)
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor.
(Thermal fuse.If it overheats the dryer will not operate. It's located on the blower housing. It cannot be reset. A vent clogged with lint can cause it to overheat. You can test it with an Ohm meter or continuity checker, if no continuity, replace it)
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST.
This could cause a FIRE, as you have removed the safety of overheat from the machine.
Right after replacing a dryer element, always run the dryer on 'air fluff' / 'no heat', and go outside to verify there's plenty of air coming out your vent system.
If the vent's clogged, that new element can burn out very quickly.

Hello dwight, welcome to Fixya.

I see you posted here a couple of days ago so I`m not sure if you still need a solution, but in the event you do, this should move you to that, or closer to a solution at the least.

The "F5" error code on Asko dryers is indicating a communication fault between the moisture sensor and the control, typically caused by lint build-up on the sensor itself...that`s the best case scenario anyway.

The first step in this process is to gain access to it and clean it, and here`s how...

1) you`ll need to remove the lower panel to which you will then reveal a plastic cover over the blower housing. Located on the housing you will find the moisture sensor usually hidden under some black puddy.

2) Remove the gum type puddy and there you will find the sensor held in place via single screw, a very small torx head...#10 I think, pardon me it`s been a while.

3) Remove the sensor and clean it out best as you can. **It will resemble a thimble one would use for sewing, see below**. Re-install the moisture sensor and give it a test. If that fails to remedy the problem you may indeed require a new sensor, but I`ll tell you how to check it first.

** Unplug the dryer from the wall or turn off the breaker **

Remove the plug of the sensor ( it`s a small board plugged into the main control board so it is a bit involved to gain access to it ) and with the aid of an ohmeter measuring accross the sensor should supply a reading of 40 - 60k ohms ( thousands ) at a temperature of 86°F - 68°F. ( 20°C - 30°C ).

Unfortunately you must do the measuring at the integrated board to which the sensor leads are soldered to. I`ve attached the image below of what to look for.




**You`ll also want to check for any wire`s which may have gotten severed from rubbing against the drum or the like. An open circuit will cause the F5 error as well, so you want to be sure it isn`t simply a wire cut or something simple such as that.**

Having said all that you may find it overwhelming and decide to call a pro. May I suggest if you do, check around for a service company familiar, or even better an authorized servicer of Asko products, they may cost more but save you more in the end.

Remove bottom panel. The condenser unit is on the left side. Open the section by undoing the clips, and look inside the little "cage". That's the sensor. Remove any lint using a toothpick and you should be good to go!

Check the sensor inside the condenser unit "cage". I read that you can clean inside the little cage with a toothpick. I'm having the same trouble, and plan on trying this before I throw in the towel and purchase a new dryer.

What you describe sounds like the idler arm with the pulley.
You might be able to replace the plastic pin with a metal pin and lube it heavy. It will wear out sooner, but may get you going till you get the right part.
Check your local appliance parts stores, they can probably order the part for you. Be sure to take the part with you, also the model,make, and serial number.
You could also check the internet...do a Google search and you may get lucky there.

sounds like you need to push the reset button on the lower left rear of the machine, unless thats the button you are already talking about. There are also some fuses on the back of this dryer that tend to fail. You have to call an ASKO servicer to install a factory bypass kit to repair this problem. Replacing the fuses will not solve the problem, as its the fuse sockets that melt and fail. Hope this is helpful!

if i read everything there is another reset button in the center of the back of this model that needs to be reset.There are also 2 areas lint can build up. front lint trap and somewhere else. Good luck

It sounds like you have a condensing dryer. These condense the water into a pan in the back, and then the water is pumped down the drain. If you are getting an overflow, it means the pan is full of water and the controller is shutting it down to prevent it from leaking on the floor. Most likely cause is a bad drain pump, which is a bit of a bear to change as it is in the back behind the rear wall in the lower right hand corner. The other option is that the drain line could be pinched or clogged, especialy if the unit was moved just before the problem started. Hope this helps!
