Phone got wet, need to get sim card out?!
Hello!
Make sure the phone is completely dry before you turn it back on . Take out the battery and the SIM card and completely dry them off - Especially on the electronic contacts.
Heres a trick: If you have a food dehydrator leave the phone in it for a couple of hours. This will remove the moisture from the phone and the water won't short circuit the phone.
If you have trouble locating your SIM card, it is under your battery and should slide right out with no trouble. If you do have trouble, please comment on the question and we can try something else!
Cheers!
Feedback is appreciated!
What to do with a pone full oif coffee?
its too late to do anything youh should have took it apart and dried it out with a hair dryer let it sit over night than turned it on in the morning thats what i did when mine fell in mop water and it worked after the next day
Recovery mode / serial data displayed ! keypad inop ????
If you have a cable for connecting it to your computer, you might be able to get it working again. Otherwise, I'd suggest removing the battery and putting the phone and the battery (separate) in the fridge over-night. The next day, insert the battery and turn the phone on to see what happens. If it's still stuck in recovery mode, I'd advise seeking help at your local phone store or sending an email to sanyo asking for any codes they could supply.
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
Camera doesnt work
If you're an adventurous soul, you could remove the screws holding the phone together and check for damage to the ribbon-cable leading to the top half of your phone, where the camera is. If it is in good shape and you are willing to continue your foray into the inner-workings of your phone, you could try to separate the case covering the top half of your phone so that you could assess the condition of the camera itself. Unfortunately, I can't help you in that surgery on your phone since all I have is half a phone I found in the street that I'm attempting to repair... However, if you need info on taking the lower half of your phone apart, you can find my fix here- http://www.fixya.com/ThreadView.aspx?prdid=401432&thid=393581
Hope this helps, TechnoWolfy.
Motorola v323
***First when your phone is dropped in any kind of liquid (water, coca cola, etc) you hae to remove the battery immediatly! DO NOT POWER THE PHONE ON! If you do so your chances of saving your phone will drop from 50% to a low 5%. If your phone is powered on when it still has water or humidity in it that can cause a major short circuit within the main board of the phone.***
Answer to your question:
Just take out the back panel of the phone then you should see some screws. From there it's up to you, have fun!
It's best to use an electric heat gun to dry the phone, but dont put it to close to the phone or it will melt it. I saved a lot of phones with this gun.
