Getting a loud beep, and an F1 code.

Hello,

The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .

Burners on top will not light with the pilot lights

To Clean:
IMPORTANT:
Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and
the oven and cooktop are cool. Do not use oven cleaners, bleach
or rust removers.
1. Remove the burner cap from the burner base and clean
according to “General Cleaning” section.
2. Clean the gas tube opening with a damp cloth.
3. Clean clogged burner ports with a straight pin as shown. Do
not enlarge or distort the port. Do not use a wooden
toothpick. If the burner needs to be adjusted, contact a
trained repair specialist.
4. Replace the burner cap, making sure the alignment pins are
properly aligned with the burner cap.
5. Turn on the burner. If the burner does not light, check cap aligment.

Our Roper washer model# wasn't

If the washer is running, but the agitator is slipping or not spinning, then you may have worn agitator dogs, or a loose agitator bolt. The following link explains what the dogs are, and how to access the bolt and replace them:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608577-replacing_agitator_dogs

If the washer does not agitate or spin at all, most commonly, this is caused by either a lid switch malfunction or a broken motor coupling. The following link explains how you can diagnose the problem yourself and repair:

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites I listed also include helpful exploded view parts diagrams to assist you in locating and properly identifying the parts you may need. If you do not wish to order parts on line, use the part numbers from the Sears website and go to your nearest appliance parts retailer. Most of these parts are commonly sold as part of their in-store inventory.

Read through the information provided. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this is helpful to you.
FYI: In less common situations, the problem could be related to a bad gearcase (transmission) or timer. These parts generally cost more as well. I would recommend you verify the simple items first by double checking your symptoms. If you need further guidance, let me know.
