Hi i have connected a floppy disk drive to my Dell

Not sure what "the drive forks" actually means. The floppy drive usually connects via a dedicated connector on the motherboard by a ribbon cable similar to the IDE cables but physically smaller and of course to the power supply. If the drive, the cable and the motherboard is ok it should appear in the bios list ready to be enabled and added to the boot order. If the floppy drive doesn't appear in the list you should refer to the motherboard manual as there might be some jumpers to reset or perhaps it is only suitable for a usb floppy drive. Take the number from the motherboard and do an internet search which should direct you to a place where you can download a manual which will contain all the information you need.

Cloned Drive won't boot on Dell 1600SC

If you are using an image made from the IBM and it has a different processor and the board specs are different that can cause the drive not to boot it will act like it is then go into a perpetual boot. I would try to re image it again to insure that is ok on the drive also check the board If one is and AMD and the other an Intel then that would be part of the problem.

Windows server 2003 hd red

Hi,
According to you your server doesn't work properly and you get a beep sound and a still HD led, OK don't worry. In this situation I think you don't get display also. Anyways, first unscrew your system and open the panel of the cabinet. Then unlock the memory slot holder, take out the memory/Ram. make it clear by eraser. clean the metallic chip which is attach with slot. after that replace it again in same or other slot carefully by a little push. notice the notch of the Ram while replace it. It will solve your problem.

Hello,

The sound may be an indicator alert. overheating, unlocked latch, etc. If the system is running ok and no noticable problems with your software, check your BIOS setting for log information related to alerts. If you find nothing of significate problems, you can disable alerts in the BIOS.

Hope this helps. Good Luck

I have a Second CPU to add to my 1600SC and the

Hello,

I would check the BIOS to make sure the system is registering the second cpu. (The 2nd cpu needs to be in the slot when you do this.) If it is not, enable it. If after rebooting your server still will not see the 2nd cpu, you will need to check the socket with a voltimeter to make sure power is getting to the socket slot.

Good Luck
