Freezer won't get below 30

Possible that the gas pressure is down to low gas or leak on the system. Also it can be due to faulty thermostat, faulty compressor if the compressor is working all the time and reaching the set temperature. Also if the compressor is not cutting off this must be a suspect.

Ok, your thermostat is buggered, the fridge wont turn off becaust it hasnt been told from the thermostat, easy DIY but be aware DISCONNECT the power first and unplug from the wall and do not kink the thermo tube when replacing. Buy the same thermostat and take a pic of where the wires go before removing the old one. Hope that helps, if you need help, call me on 08 9523 0552 Russ and I can help further.

How do you defrost the

hi,
a manual defrost? unplug and get a 9by11 cake pan and a bunch of towels and a hairdryer. put the hairdryer on LOW only and get it positioned in the freezer (door) compartment so its pointing towards the back. cake pan in the bottom towels below. and on the floor. leave the door open about 3 or 4 inches but NOT shut so you have some air circulation. and check it frequently. make sure the hair dryer isnt pointed at the plastics at all. takes a day. pull it from the wall, remove the rear access cover behind the fridge and blow it out with a vac or air compressor too. theres an access panel inside the freezer and if your handy, your ice blockage causing that problem lives behind there in the freezer. use caution if your going to attempt taking that plate off inside. use nothing sharp.

Norfrost C6AEW Chest Freezer. Wiring help please.

Question edited for clarity and add CAPS. It seems to be a common occurrence on that model due to bad design. https://www.fixya.com/support/t17110008-norfrost_c6aew_chest_freezer_compressor Norfrost is owned by Ebac. Contact their customer service. https://www.johnogroat-journal.co.uk/news/caithness-freezer-name-lives-on-in-england-170710/ https://www.ebac.com/support/customer-service Another way would be to study the wiring as it is pretty standard. The video may help. https://www.google.com/search?q=freezer+wiring+diagram You may be able to freeze this video to note the wiring, although this only shows the thermostat wiring and is a bit fuzzy. Also an refrigeration appliance technician would know the wiring by heart and take 20 minutes maximum to work it out.
