Cylinders are VERY loud when in use.

I have the same issue. It's distracting my workout. I live in an apartment and I can't help but worry that the neighbors are going to complain about the banging noise eventually. I'm calling the 800 number on Monday and hopefully they'll have a solution. I'm worried I just threw a ton of money down the drain

What is an H 05 on the display of a brand new - non functioning unit mean?

Could be a loose wire or some other fault. H05 is a communication error with your machine. Bowflex need to do some troubleshooting with you when you are by the machine. You can call them and they'll walk you through the process. Number is 800-605-3369 and hours of operation are Mon - Fri, 6 am to 5 pm, PST.
