Try turning it off, then upside down and checking the ventilation ports. My Toshiba will do the same over time if I do not reguraly clean the vents. Also check to see if your fan is working. The worst enemy of most laptops is heat generated but not expelled. Insure that you have adequate ventilation while using it.

go into sound settings and setup from there,or it could be were you plug your head set into could be faulty.or it could be the end bit of your head set,try another head set.

You will need to replace the battery. Laptop batteries lasts approximately 3yrs. This can be significantly reduced if the laptop remains plugged in most of the time.

You are lucky that this issue is operating system based from what it seems, try to work the recovery option, let it be that way for hours. It will move at some point. Did you have a AV installed? If not it is crucial to have an anti-virus software installed on PC. If all the efforts appear fruitless, contact Samsung; it could be a hardware issue as well... although they are less frequently observed.

Hi!I just got my Samsung RV511 laptop up and running with OS X 10.6.8.The specs of my laptop:Intel HM55 Sandy BridgeIntel Core i3 2.53 GHz4 GB DDR3Nvidia Geforce 315M 512MBCurrently I've got ethernet, QE/CI, Bluetooth, Integrated Webcam, Trackpad with 2 finger scrolling, keyboard, Sound and HDMI with Audio working.For people who want to try it, this is how i installed it.

• Change the ACHI settings in bios to "Manual" and "Enabled", as having it on auto won't work.
• Install OSX using iBoot
• Update to 10.6.8 using the Combo Update
• Install MultiBeast, List of drivers to select below

uninstall driver again , and reinstalling again and see if the speaker work. The driver can be corrupt.Otherwise use the software diagnostic coming the computer restart the machine and hold the f2 or depend the model and test the sound.You can use the RESTORE system, to some date the laptop was working good. go to control panel and follow .God bless you

This may be due to software , Or you might have over loaded or system is having virus in startup.Also check it during power connected mode.Check the hard drive activity if it is continuously running this may require to empty some HDD space.

only put one DDr3 and check.Because one of the memory may be defected or incompatible or may not be fixed properly.

click on bettery icon >> goto adjust brightness and adjust it, no need to save or apply close the window after finish!!
