1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer,you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

Try spraying electrical contact cleaner into the headphone socket. There are 4 spring loaded contacts in there. For your next one, buy a Bluetooth MP3 or a cellphone with Bluetooth. No mechanical connections.

Even rechargeable batteries eventually die. Have you tried leaving it plugged into power for a long time, like at least overnight? As for a manual, you didn't list a make or model. Try a search for the make and model and include user manual in the search box.

make sure the battery is fully charged or brand new. If it still isnt turning on with the nextar mp3 players there is nothing you can really do and it would be cost effective to replace the unit over trying to get it repaired.

Right click the disk in 'my computer' and select 'format' you'll get a warning about "formatting removes all the data". Make sure that you select your MP3 player otherwise you'll wipe your computers HDD and that wouldn't be good.

It's easier if you sync your mp3 player to a media player like Windows Media player then all you have to do is right click on the title of the song in your media library and add to sync list when your done just press start sync button and it will do the rest.

I have the same model - you have to press and hold the Play/Pause button (the button to the left of the 4-way button) until the unit turns on.
