If you check the power supply module , you probably will fine a couple electrolytics caps that will be bulged and need replace and also the low uf caps are normaly bad too, but they will look good. Change out the electrolytic caps, or change out the power supply module. Go to www.partstore.com to buy a new one.

There are bad capacitors on the power supply that needs changing. Also check the B+ capacitors on the inverter board also for leaky caps or caps that are puffy on their tops.

You problem is due to a failing x-sustain board, this board is mainly responsible for lighting the screen up. It may also be because of a faulty digital board assembly, but since you say the screen goes blank, I will lean more to the X-sustain board about to fail. It is common practice to replace the Y-Sustain board as well when replacing the X-sustain.

I don't think they exist, I would try contacting Sony directly first.

Is it imperative you have HDMI? I can recommend an excellent HDMI to component video converter if you are using an HDMI only source.

Here was the solution for the same black line but, in them middle of the screen.

Board is around $289.00 cost, if you can find one, Most likely if your display turns on and has no picture the display is bad time for a new plasma monitor, and it's a Y-SUS board

I don't think it matters only part of your board is bad.

this is an LCD projector tv.
you can fix it, the same way you broke it by realigning the lcd pannels.

the connection board or your digital board is bad change the connection board first it is cheaper, then if that does not solve the problem change the digital control board, this is the board where your control panel and connection board is connected to....

Problem solved. I tried playing DVD and the TV picture was fine. So I double-checked cable wires from cable box - one of the wires was loose (obviously it was the red color input). After tightening, the TV picture is good as new.

Replace the lamp.Use an original Sony lamp. Next would be the lamp power supply and last, the optical block

Sounds like you need a white balance adjust, call a local service center, you could do it yourself but you will need access to the factory mode, I don't know how to get into the factory mode for that model

usually this is a bad connection on the system board, cable, etc.  If it's not under warranty, I would check the cable first, and try multiple video sources before opening the unit.  Worst case scenario is replacing the system board where the connections reside.
