I would like to repair
It's not that hard of a process. You have to remove the back case held by 5 or 6 screws, usually, and then 2 or 3 screws for the lcd itself. The lcd screen has a ribbon connector, which can be removed by gently prying the plastic holing bar up, releasing the connector, then reversing the process for the good one. You can sometimes find the same model camera on Ebay with a good lens, but different problem, and swap the lens out, or sometimes find new ones for around $30 or $40. If you take it to a camera repair shop, or contact Fuji for repair, the cost will be around $125.
There are videos on google that show the process, which isn't hard. Sometimes a screw will be located in the usb port, or battery compartment, and that's the trickiest part, really.
If you go to YouTube videos and look for lcd repair, you will find videos that show the general process, and help you see what needs to be done.
Oh, some cameras has two ribbon connectors, one for the screen, and one for the backlight (the small one). On others, it is built into the wide connector.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
