I found a way to solve this, you have to google for a program called ipod reset utility or, you can search here:

Either way, install, follow the instrucions and you can probably save your ipod (note; I saved my ipod on a mac. Haven't tested transfering songs from my PC an this moment)

As with all iPods, you must use Apple's iTunes application to sync your music with your iPod Shuffle.

Chargers and cables can both go bad. Try new ones.

What type of computer is it? The question is posted under Apple iPod shuffle MP3 Player. If the disk was given to you from a professional photographer, it may be a copyrighted disk. Where did the photos come from that are on the disk... i.e. brand of camera? The better the problem is described, the better the solution.

unless you used the same computer when downloaded music, then you should be able to delete. Otherwise, you need to sync new music. It will erase all of the other music that is in the shuffle. this really sux. i had that problem. Couldn't even keep the same music.
