the red light blinks due to a problem in the power supply or deflection circuit, this usually happens when one or two components start changing specified value or just entirely go out. Some samsung tvs do have replaceable boards but you still need to pinpoint the problem to a certain circuit board, either deflection or power board. It may be worth it to call a service tech and describe the problem to get a good idea on the repair cost.

You have a power supply fault. Look for short circuit diodes.

You have lost the convergence correction circuit. Most likely you will have to replace the convergence amp ic's. This is fairly common for a projection tv.

Is the power LED on? If not maybe the fuse.

You should be able to go to the tivo menu and push Messages and Settings, followed by Settings, and finally Remote Control. Then follow the directions on the screen. You normally would program volume and mute, power, and tv input. It will walk you through the manufacturers and give you the codes to try.

If the codes do not work, it is possible that Tivo does not have the codes for the TV yet, but I would first make sure that you have the most recent version of the Tivo operating system (force a network connection a few times).

First, the STK convergence IC is possibly burned. Usually on the right lower side,accessed from the back, is a module with 3 black stk's on it. If you see the stk's then replace all 3. Not one as the others will blow really soon. Also check to see if green coils are burned,if so replace them. Get parts from matelectronics.com. Good source and inexpensive, about 40 bucks for the parts...Give a good visual and then proceed. be careful! high volts still in there, but don't worry...

i thing you have bad convergence board (right side small board
silver heat metal that number start STK-?????) and check resistor maybe open

There are a few possible causes for this

-Picture tube has become weak after long useage
-A fault with the automatic degauss circuit could be causing the color problems.
-The color drive circuits may be out of adjustment.

I don't have instructions for you on how to fix this, I would recommend you either buy premium assistance or contact
another expert with long tv experience to possibly get details
on how to correct this problem.

I would recommend you contact your dealer for repairs if you have warranty. If you don't have warranty it may be cheaper to ask around.

Sync seperator problem, sounds like. Could be bad cable, but I rather doubt it....accordianman

I think it is a degaussing problem which is due to magneic effect. if you can 1 check any magnetic thing is mot close to tv. 2do not change the direction of tv while watching. 3call tech to degauss it by a coil called degaussing coil. good luck.

Its Sounds like Convergence Circuit,If you take the Back off and look on the right side you should see a Board with Big black Ics Mounted beside a Large Heatsink,Mark the wires where they go and Make sure the POWER is Off Pull the Board out and Inspect the Connections from the ICS,you find Circle Breaks,They need to Be resoldered and That should fix the Set....

no picture & sound ok as sound is there means your power supply &high voltage section is ok problem is in video section 1 crt is glowing or not if not check its supply. 2 check crt base or any connector for loose 3 check supply to video & crt base(g2) 4 check for video signal is coming to video sectuon from processor ic. 5 loose print if any. hope this will help

you tv problem is intermittent have a tech resolder you tv circuit.also have him check the power supply you could be having problem with the component there.probably the regulator diode or cap.good luck

is it a universal remote? if it is, then you can look for the code manually. hit code search button and hold it down and then hit the source button. in this case it is a dvd. then let go of the sourch button and then let go of the search button. you have to do all the while the dvd player is on. then start hitting the power button till the device shuts down. his set button/or some remotes enter button and then you should be able to use that for the dvd player. good luck
