OPEN THE BACK AND NEXT TO THE BATERIES THERE IS A "RESET" BUTTON. CLOSE IT AND RE TRY AGAIN

If it had batteries inside for a long time, the battery terminals might have corroded. Check the battery terminals.

There should be a hole somewhere on the device that you can stick a paper clip into. If you do this and hold it for 10-20 seconds it should reset the device. If you reset it and it still doesn't power on, even with new batteries....chances are that you have a hardware problem that would need to be fixed by the manufacturer.

You can also try the Casio support web sites for other countries, as they sometimes keep manuals around that Casio Japan has deleted. You may have to look around the site a little, as sometimes the technical support pages are not linked to the public pages. There's a chance that the battery terminals inside the camera are slightly oxidized, and need a good cleaning (qtip and alcohol or a pencil eraser).

You can get it fixed by taking it to a BOSS shop near you or have a technician fix it for you. The key is probably stucked. I would advise you give it to a Professional to fix this for you.

it sounds like your batteries died out ..if you are getting the data error message, pres the clear button( the on button) to review all old data and transcribe any important info(telephone numbers etc.) then you replace the batteries and hope it keeps all old stuff... if not after the change you need top press the reset button on the back and replace any lost info....good luck
