Zenith ZDX-313 DVD Player / VCR Combo Questions & Answers
It says progressive scan on the screen
You can try this (it may or may not work for this model; it does for the Zenith XVB342 and XVB442 combos):
On the main unit, not the remote, and with no discs in the DVD tray, press and hold [ STOP ] button for 5 - 10 seconds, then release. Progressive scan should now be switched OFF (the display indicator for progressive scan should disappear) and normal video output should be restored.
Hopefully it works (there are no available manuals online for this model).
I have a surround sound
Hi there,
It's unlikely that you've broken it - you appear to be using the wrong method for switching it off.
Correct instructions for turning Progressive (P) Scan off:
1. Remove any disc from the unit and close the disc tray.
2. Wait for the "NO DISC" message to appear on the display
3. Press and hold the "STOP" button on the front of the unit for at least 5 seconds then release.
The video output should return to the normal setting and "P/SCAN" should disappear from the display on the front of the player.
If you are still unable to switch P/SCAN off, please post back for further assistance.
Regards,
BElectric
The dvd player sometimes spins
Two things it could be,
First, belt could be streched, when you spin disc it helps belt catch and player works.
Second, Motor for dvd player could be sticking and when you spin disc it help motor unstick and work.
I would replace the belt first, fairly easy to do and cheap. Buy parts online, do google lookup by name brand, or model number and name brand to find a supplier for model.
My zenith CD/DVD duplicator LCD light on but no ready
If the LCD light on your Zenith CD/DVD duplicator is on but it is not showing as "ready," it is possible that there is an issue with the duplicator's internal components or settings. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
Check the disc trays: Make sure that all of the disc trays are closed properly and that there are no discs stuck inside the duplicator. If a tray is open or a disc is stuck, the duplicator will not be able to operate properly.
Check the power source: Make sure that the duplicator is plugged into a working power source and that the power cable is securely connected to the duplicator. If the power source is not providing enough power, the duplicator may not be able to operate.
Check the settings: Check the duplicator's settings to ensure that it is set up correctly for the type of disc you are trying to duplicate. For example, if you are trying to duplicate a DVD, make sure that the duplicator is set to duplicate DVDs and not CDs.
Reset the duplicator: Try resetting the duplicator by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, then plugging it back in and turning it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues with the duplicator's internal components.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a more serious issue with the duplicator's hardware or software. In this case, it may be best to contact Zenith customer support or a professional technician for further assistance.
