Mr. Heater MHVFB30LPBT BlueFlame Electric Wall Mounted Panel Questions & Answers
Heater will not light
My blue flame heater's hose is over 12' long and when hooked up for the first time takes several minutes of pressing the pilot button for the air to clear and the propane to come through so it lights. Perhaps you are not waiting long enough for the gas to enter the unit?
Orange flame and only burning at half flame
That's a nice unit! You need to clean out the jet openings with a very thin piece of wire and, while you are at it clean off the whole grill so that no particles get trapped near the jets.
My mr. Heater lights only stays lit for about 3 minutes and then it goes out
I had this same problem with my heater. I cleaned the propane tube where the flame comes out (after it’s off and cooled down) with a Qtip and some alcohol. After removing some cotton, it will fit all the way down to the end of the tube. Repeat until it comes out clean and stays lit. I had to repeat with 91% rubbing alcohol and more Qtips, and most of the cotton removed.
How do i disable the oxygen sensor on a mr buddy heater
The responses so far I don't believe are answering the question. Instead, they are mentioning potential problems not related to the question.
The Mr Buddy propane heater has a sensor which detects the amount of oxygen/fresh air in the area being heated. If the amount of fresh air/oxygen is too low, the sensor will shut off the propane flow to the pilot light and burner. The question is asking, how to bypass/disable the sensor.
