Your tv is probably going into a "protection mode" this means something inside the set had failed. This is the tv's way of shutting down before more damage can occur. This could mean many different things that could have gone wrong with this unit. Your best bet is to call your local dealer and have them come out and look at it for you. Tearing apart tv's is very dangerous! Some sets have up to 30,000 volts on the anode! GOOD LUCK!

It look like my tv

I have worked on a few of these and all have had problems with the convergence IC's solder joints. Over time, the heat generated by the IC chips weakens the solder joints. All that needs to be done is resolder the joints.

TV will not power up;

Unplug set for a few minutes. Try to turn it on and if power light comes on and goes off, repeat self check.

If you unplugged set before doing this, error code will always be 1,2 which is no error detected--unplugging clears error code and you have to try again.

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alingnment,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.These parts on the convergence board,require replacing to fix the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost $300-350 for parts and labors.

Convergence is off... factory reset

the convergence ic wnet out , it need to be replace , i would recoment to take to a repair shop because after they replace this ic they may need todo aligment , call around repair cost about $250 - 350

No picture,sound only

by what your are stating sir yest the problem wiull be nthe lamp but it could also be the ballast board witch powers up teh lamp , it could be that the ballast is not strong enough to turn the lamp on.

Bypass or Reset Mitsubishi WS-65712 HDTV V-Chip Password Lock

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi 65712 HDTV Parental V-Chip parental lock? Have you forgotten your V-Chip passcode or password?

If you forget your V-Chip passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your password.

When your passcode is requested, press the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time. This process temporarily unlocks your TV.

When you enter the V-Chip Lock menu, pressing the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time will delete your old password and prompt you to enter a new passcode. Pressing HOME at this time will cancel the entire passcode.

Wont power on

go to this website and buy the kit for your t.v., I did and it fixed my t.v. mitsubishi ws65712. had the green blinking light, and could not power up. hopes this helps.

After a power failrue . my 65

Replace the DM capacitors. That will often happen after a power failure, as the capacitors will be bad and the set will continue to operate fine untill the power is lost, then they can no longer charge due to their being weak so the timer led will blink repeatedly because the DM cannot complete the boot sequence untill the capacitors charge.

TV won't turn on.

Do the self check this set has:

when the power light goes off---on the front of the set press and hold both the MENU and INPUT (or Device) buttons for 5 seconds and then release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code--most common is 2 blinks a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code several times.

Let me know what the error code is and I will tell you what it means.

2,2 is most common and the most easy to fix.
