It sounds like your ribbon setting in the printer-driver is set to the R2011 (or R2211) K ribbon. It should be set to R3011 for the full-color YMCKO ribbon. Check by locating the printer in the Windows Devices & Printers view (Win7: Start Button => Devices and Printers; WinXP: Start Button => Printers and Faxes). Locate your Pebble printer; right-click; select "Printing Preferences". Check your ribbon setting here and match to the ribbon that is loaded. NOTE that you can only make changes to this driver setting if you have Windows Admin rights with your Windows log-in ID. If you don't, have your systems administrator assist you with this by logging in with their ID.

As you said you followed the recommended direction, I'm assuming you've set the card-thickness gauge by the feed-mechanism to "MAX". Otherwise, there are usually 2 things that users don't get quite right when initiating a cleaning-card cycle on the Evolis Pebble (and Dualys) printers:

1. Even though the ribbon is already out, you still have to open the lid, then latch it closed EACH TIME you start a cleaning cycle. This is the signal to the printer's "brain" that you've checked for and removed the ribbon and any cards. This step has to be performed with the printer powered on.
2. We prefer to initiate the cleaning by depressing the power-button momentarily - about 1/2-second to 1 full-second. Less than that, and it might not register; more than that and it might power off.

The other thing you sometimes need to do is help the cleaning card into the printer with light pressure on the trailing edge until it is grasped by the feed roller, as the pre-saturated cards are slicker than a regular PVC card, with the cleaning solution acting almost as a lubricant.

Not card, not ribbon, not cleaning, not driver setting. Does your black ribbon roll and never stops?

You have 3 possible problems/solutions: 1) Did you make regular cleaning? 2) Sensor is not working properly(maybe a replacement of spare part is needed). 3) Maybe you just connected your usb cable to another port and it generated a copy, in that case, delete all printer Evolis drivers from control panel and enable it from beginning again.

Make sure you have selected gold ribbon in printer graphic properties.
Also you can try changing luminosity and treatment options in graphics under Advanced setting.
Check for print on a white card also as problem may be due to card surface also .
You should cklean print head also at once.

Dear Sir,

Evolis pebble4 printer is a single side card printer . It doesn't has mechanism to flip the card.
If you want to flip the card automatically you must go for Evolis Dualys or higher model.

Take out output hopper and clean the printer interior with a blower.
Fix hopper again.

Clean the Roller below the feeder with a cotton cloth soaked in Isopropyl alcohol
also check the thickness adjustment pointer near feeder . Normal ISO standard cards are 0.76 mm. so pointer should be at 0.8.

First check for your card's thickness and adjust thickness lever accordingly.
Take a soft cotton cloth soaked with Isopropyl Alcohol with minimum water content.
Clean all Rollers including one roller below the feeder.
For cleaning Rollers you can take out ribbon and press the push button on front panel.
This will move Rollers and you will be able to clean rollers easily.
Clean the rollers below ultraviolet ribbon sensor and the roller set at output hopper also.

You may have installed ribbon incorrectly.
Align the gears of ribbon spindle with gears on printer and second important thing is that ribbon should come from up not from down.

Open printer properties . Click on Tools tab.
Click on printer Self Cleaning button.
Remove any ribbon from printer and cards from feeder.
Adjust thickness lever just near feeder to full 1mm.
Insert cleaning card in feeder and click on start cleaning button.
This should definitely solve your problem.
