Warranty? pursue that first with the seller, some will exchange in cooperation with the mfg and simpler to do. You will need your sales receipt. Especially if it never worked, or has broken through no fault of your own. Trying to repair, may invalidate the warranty if there is one.

Most machines have a screw on the end or back that holds the end cap on that covers the bulb and mechanical parts. Sometimes they are hinged too. If the bulb is underneath in the middle then that may take a little bit more to get at it. I agree with Matty W too that Singer is really good at helping with fixing and replacing the bulb or other small fixes. I have done live one on one chats with them and they are very knowledgeable and patient. Good luck.
