it depends after how long the temperature indication comesif it comes immediately as soon as the projector comes on[say in 1 min] then the ballast circuit has to be replaced.if the temperature comes after say 5 mins , it could be that one of the exhaust fans is not moving freely and needs to be replaced!

This is most likely a fan issue. Remove both covers (there are 2), so that the PCB is exposed. Using compressed air (ideally from a compressor, not from a can), blow all of the dust out of the unit, especially near the fans (there are 4 of them). If this doesn't work, you may have a dead fan. PacParts sells replacements.

its a blub/lamp problem.the filament in the blub and the bulb hours are near to end.and the red light error led coming up is for the need of new lamp.replacing the lamp will solve the problem. as per the problem which you mentioned its confoirmed the lamp fault.but it has been seen in many cases that after replacing the lamp if the problem remains the same then light engine also needs replacement.because lamp gets power from light engine.you can get required parts from

First, make sure you've cleaned any dust filters on the unit!! That in itself will usually stop overheating (think of someone closing off your nose and mouth) that's what happens when the dust filter gets clogged--the unit strangles for cool air and rapidly overheats--this not only shortens lamp life dramatically, but also shortens the life of ALL components in the unit, especially delicate LCD panels or the display chip in a DLP projector!
