Old Dell Omniplex pci communication serial port needs driver
Go to the Dell support website http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/
Put in your service tag # (it is usually located on a little barcode sticker on the back of your machine). It does not matter if your machine is out of warranty or not. This is one of the reasons I like DELL. DELL has drivers for their machines that go back 10 years or more. I have never had a problem getting them from the website. When you see the downloads that you need download the ones that say driver. You may have to download the chipset driver also. When you do download the drivers and it asks you for the filename to save it as I find that it helps to add a name to the dell #'s to describe the driver so that it looks something like R264710video. Once you download them and transfer them to your computer they should install themself in the correct location (you just have to double-click on the .exe file and answer the prompts (if any)). i had a hard tim loading my javelin but i had to use a laptop adapter that makes a laptop hard drive commect to a standerd pc ide cable and loaded it that way i just copyed the cd to the harddrive and put the harddrive back in the javelin and run setup off the hard drive

Go to the manufacture's web site if your main board or network card
in the support link, search your model device and download the driver for it..
of you can just pop any main board cd in for you and it should use the default driver as most is standered LET ME KONOW IF OU HAVE TROUBLE LOCATING IT ON THE PAGE OR IF IT AINT AVIABLE

Start>Control Panel>Add Hardware
Click "Yes, I have already connected the hardware"
Scroll to the very bottom and click "Add a new hardware device"
Click "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list"
Click "Ports (COM & LPT)"
Click "Communications Port"
Click "View or change resources for this hardware"
Find the I/Q and Range settings in BIOS for the Touch Screen

How to resolve your meter when it's on temper mode
Tamper mode means the prepaid meter is in a mode where it does not supply power. Check your meter remote controller (used for recharging units). If it displays a Relay Open symbol, the meter is in tamper mode.
To remove tamper mode requires you contact the distributing company and request a tamper reset token. The tamper reset token is a 20-digit code that clears the meter from tamper mode and restores it to its default state.
