Repairing screw holes in corrugated iron
Hi,
You dont mention how many holes there are to be sealed, I would assume less than 10? .. a couple of options spring to mind but there may be more!
1. Try using Eternibond sealing tape over the holes .. apparently good for 25-35 years! .. will need to clean the surrounding area carefully before application. Link to site http://www.eternabond.com/
2. You could always use the roofing screws and associated rubber grommets to ensure a watertight seal of the old holes. You may need to place some wood on the underside for the screws to bite into. This may be the cheapest option.
Hope this helps - if so, please leave feedback, if not let me know and I'll try and help some more!
How can a building act as a climatic filter?
You want to filter the climate? Which part, how much, what do you want to remove from the climate? Man builds for something to do so that he doesn't have to think about his precarious position before GOD.
Just had a conservatory built and it has been
I depends on a lot of factors. It could easily be a one time shift in the footers and foundation. Or it could be that the footers are not deep enough and your having a freeze/thaw problem. Or your drainage could be depositing too much water at that point causing either the soil to swell then shrink; or back to the freeze/thaw problem. It could be the footers were not sized properly or have enough rebar in them. It could be that your soil does not support that much weight or that enough top soil wasn't removed or the loose soil wasn't removed and caused a settling of the foundation. As you can see, there are many factors the can cause the problem and I didn't mention them all. If the crack it now bigger that an pencil lead; no problem. If is is big enough to insert a 16D nail, then you should be concerned. Call the local building inspector and see if he can give you any free advice.

This tells me nothing.
dimensions... council requirements.. location.. country.. materials.. Flat roof pitched .....attached to what structure?
. I gave up trying to read minds from afar years ago.
Please resubmit this question with more details of what your intend to do and what we are supposed to provide as far as specs etc. Your local council office would be a better start than using a forum like this that has no access to local information that would even start to be of help to you
Sorry but we cant help you with such a brief outline

Will one of the newer sensors work in place of my 1457 sensor?
It's possible that one of the newer sensors could work in place of your 1457 sensor, but it depends on the specifications of the newer sensors and the compatibility with your base unit. The I MAX1457 sensor, which is a highly integrated analog-sensor signal processor optimized for piezoresistive sensor calibration and compensation. However, I have no information about its compatibility. If you're looking for a replacement sensor, I suggest contacting the manufacturer of your base unit to inquire about compatible sensors. Alternatively, you can check the user manual of your base unit to see if it lists compatible sensors. Garage door opener sensors are not universal. Safety sensors can only communicate with garage door openers from the same brand.
