Treadmill motor does not work
Check your power supply. A lot of problems stem from the machine not being able to get enough power. Treadmills have a hard time working on the ground fault outlaets that are common in newr basements.
The incline setting on my Proform 550 Epic View is
The incline adjustment is done this way in your machine: a motor is attached to the platform with a hinge; at its shaft is attached a worm screw; on it there's a threaded bushing which is attached to a lever situated on an rotating shaft - when the motor turns the bushing is moved up the worm screw which pushes on the lever which rotates so it lifts the platform
If you can hear the motor turning but nothing happens it means that this mechanism is faulty:
1 - the connection between the motor shaft and the screw has broken - fix it
2 - the friction in the bushing and the joints is too much for the motor - clean and oil thoroughly the entire mechanism
3 - the screw or the bushing are damaged - replace them.
Unfortunately finding replacement part will be difficult -this is an older model that is no longer in production.

The speed reading on my epic 55o treadmill quit
Under the motor cover, on the left side mounted on the frame is the speed sensor.
It is a little black "bullet" shaped thing clamped to the frame with a wire wrapping around the frame to the electronic board. It may need to be adjusted. Move it as close to the pulley as possible without making contact. If it still doesn't work, inspect the pulley for the 1/2 inch round magnet. It is mounted on the pulley. If it is missing, it may be attached to the metal frame someplace. Place it back into the holder on the pulley and try the treadmill again.
If you still have no speed reading, the sensor will have to be replaced.
Incline is stuck, motor still runs?
First try to calibrate the incline as described in your owners manual.
Start the machine. Press the incline up button. While pressing the button, remove the safety key.
Release the inline up button and reinsert the safety key. The machine should run the full cycle, up to maximum elevation, then back down.
If the motor moves and then resets, you may have an incline motor sensor defect. You will need to order a new incline motor. The sensor is not available separately..

Loosen off the rear roller adjustment bolts, 10 turns each side counterclockwise.
Remove the motor drive belt.
The front roller should now be removable. If you have difficulties, back off the rear roller adjustment bolts 3-4 turns further. Keep track of how many counterclockwise turns so you are able to readjust the belt after replacing the front roller pulley assembly.
Repeat the instructions in reverse once the front roller is in position.

Epic550 treadmill shutdown unexpectedly and display is blank.
Check the upright wiring harness on the right side. If the harness was routed incorrectly or care was not take during installation, the harness is pinched/cut/damaged when the right upright is bolted on. This is the main issue I encounter on this style treadmill when it will not work after assembly. Will require a new upright harness if damaged. If it is under warranty, call and have them replace it. It is covered
Can not get the incline to go down on epic view
Hi,
Treadmills have a reset procedure for the incline function. With the key inserted in the console, activate the incline; while the incline is changing, remove the key. Wait 30 seconds, then replace the key. The incline should to maximum, then to minimum, resetting its limits. The procedure is in the manual if you have it.
