D) The Display Cable TO LCD screen connection may not be tight, or correctly connected.I know the display shows graphics, but a poor connection of Display Cable to LCD screen, can make the Backlight dim out.I'm betting it is a poor connection, or the wrong screen Inverter, or wrong LCD screen.Regards, joecoolvette(Be shame to kick that laptop to the curb. Start up then shuts down after about 5 minutes
Check to make sure the cpu is running properly, if it is then chances are the heat sink that covers the cpu processor is dirty along with the fins. The heat sink should be removed, and clean out the old conductive thermal grease and new applied.
Crashing issues
Hi, I'm assuming that you're running vista.
It's not a heating issue, otherwise the machine would shut down dead in an instant. It could be a duff ram chip, which would give the problems you are seeing. Simply burn off a Ubuntu disk, and test your Ram.
If it's not that, its a software issue, and may well be Windows Ram management playing up. This is a common problem in all windows OS's.
Boot up off the windows disk (if you have it) and click the 'Repair' option. Alternatively if you have an onboard restore partition, you can click F8 on booting, and 'Repair this computer'.
My GPU temp is too high, when is on high
Hi
It sounds like one of a few problems
1) Ensure that when you put your laptop down the air vent (the place where the hot air comes out from the laptop is not blocked),
2) If the above does not cure the issue then it would seem the heat sink itself is faulty and wil need to be replaced
I would recommend that you book it into a reputable PC repair shop if number 1 fails
Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

Or
Try to uninstall and reinstall the webcam
Hi,
When this starts to happen it means the back light is on its way out and needs to be replaced.
