My Mr. Steam turns on

This most likely happens when you get moisture damage to the back of the controller in the shower. The moisture tends to short out the two pins on the back the just so happen to turn the unit on. During the time of install you need to, not only, apply it to the wall via the double sided tape but afterwards run a bead of silicone around the circumference of the controller to prevent moisture from running down your walls and into the back of the controller. At this point it would be best to kill the power to the generator and remove the controller from the wall slowly with a knife edge breaking the adhesive tape. Once you have it removed take some rubbing alcohol and some Q-tips and apply it to the 8 pins behind the controller. you can also quick dip the end of the control cable(with generator power off) into rubbing alcohol. This will clean any oxidation and dry out the controller, you may repeat this step if you like. Afterwards leave the controller out to dry for as much time as you can spare, then afterwards apply it back to the wall with double-sided tape and this time run the silicone bead around the controller to prevent the issue from reoccurring.

Steam shuts down after approx.15 minute

I would venture a guess that the heating element has become intermittent with a short. Wasn't so bad before, but played heck with controller due to noise from arcing, but now have a dead short when heater reaches temperature.

Error code Prr

I had this problem, and checked the connections, emptied the resivour, and refilled it, and it had no effect.
To fix the problem, I ran the regular shower on hot for 10 minutes to warm up the shower chamber. Then, when I pressed the power button on the steam shower, it displayed "110" as normal.
The problem with "Prr" appears to be that the temp sensor is reporting a value out of range. Heating the shower chamber (and therefore sensor) provides a good value to the sensor, which then allows the shower to operate.
Try warming up your sensor by running the shower.

Steam unit not putting out as much steam as it

Occassionally an Autoflush Valve may stick open or partially open. This can happen in hard water areas due to calcium build-up or if debris is caught in the valve. Boiling water will escape to drain and cold make-up water will enter the generator. This results in diminished steam output. Removing the debris should correct his condition. Be sure to follow all precautions as directed in the MrSteam Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manual available from MrSteam or posted online at mrsteam.com. Or call call MrSteam technical Service at 800 767-8326 for assistance.

Mr Steam MS Super-1 kW: 10 doesn't generate steam

the first thing the generator should do when you hit the on button is fill. You will hear the water entering the tank. Once the water stops it indicates that the water has reached the water satisfied level, after which you should hear a loud click(your contactor engaging for the heat cycle, newer units will have all three light on the side lit). After this point is you aren't getting any steam after 5 minutes it probably means your heating element may be damaged. It would be best to remove the element at this point from the left side of the unit via 6 bolts and 2 wire leads. Any physical damage on the element such as a pinhole pop, burn mark, melting, or scar will surely prevent the element from heating
