The air filter is comprised of three parts. The outer part is the air filter cover, then comes the filter itself, and finally, the air filter backing plate. The backing plate connects directly to either the carburetor or the fuel injector throttle body. I hope this helps.

Good Luck

How do I adjust rear shocks on my 2000 Road King?

Hi Patti, Road Kings have air shocks at the rear. You will need a FL touring hand pump and adjust the air pressure accordingly to your weight/load.

Oil change procedure 2000 road king

the oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission in your RK. There are two drain plugs. The plug towards the front left of the pan is the oil drain plug. The other one is for the transmission.

Drain the oil, replace the filter, refill with three quarts of oil and you're ready to go. The dipstick has two marks on it. The upper mark is "FULL HOT", and the lower mark is "FULL COLD". Do not overfill.

Don't forget to service the transmission and the primary at their recommended intervals.

Good Luck

Fiited a k and n filter to my 2000 road king but it would not start first thing in the morning and run **** until i put the old back in again, do i have to put on the fuel pack just to have sports air...

Although I don't do fuel injected bikes, if it were a carbed bike, I would say that you would probably have to rejet the carb when you changed the air filter to a free flowing model. The same applies to a fuel injected model too, I would suspect. But, it may be within the "range" of the onboard computer you have. Take it by a shop and ask if the fuel map can be changed to accommodate the K&N Filter.

Idel adjustment on fuel injected road king.\not on

Thats not totally correct. remove your air filter cover. look to the lower right side. You will see a small hole thats where the screw driver goes in to adjust your idle. Ya the dealer has a scanlizer that can also do it if u want to spend the bucks.
