Hello,
The clutch cover is removed in a two step process.

  • Remove the clutch cable by loosening the adjustment at top and bottom first. Then remove the cable end from the clutch lever. This should give enough slack to remove the cable at the bottom by the clutch cover. ** Take notice of the angle of the lever that the cable goes into the cover. You will want to re-assemble the clutch cover with that lever in the same angle.
  • Remove the clutch cover bolts around the outside of the cover.the cover should now be removed by pulling the cover straight out.

Thanks and I hope that this helps.
Steve

How do you remove the tire off the front rim on a 2000 kawasak zx-9r ninja

You need to let all of the air out of tire, break the bead off of the rim and pry the tire off of the rim. I recommend taking it to a shop and having it changed on a tire machine to avoid chipping or scratching the rim.

Kawasaki ninja zx9r clutch problem

On your bike there are two clutch parts that can wear and cause this problem. The broken spring should be replaced but is not causing the problem. Check the bottom of the clutch release shaft #13102. The end of the shaft may be broken, bent or severely worn. The part the shaft engages with is the clutch rod #46102. It could be bent, broken or severely worn. This part is inside the clutch hub. Just remove the five springs and then the outer cover plate and the rod should be accessible.
