if its a slight grinding sound, its your brakes telling you to replace them. toyota makes their brake calipers to wear the compress to a certain point untill the brakes are bad, so the brake pad itself will wobble and grind on the disk when going bad... start with the cheapest possible options first... brake pads (20-25 bucks). if its your disk thats gonna be around 100-125 if you do it yourself... good luck
Hi glen Replacing the disk is quite easy. Remove odometer cable, Disassembly front wheel, then screw out 6 bolts of disk. Replace disk+ fix it with bolts. Before you put back front wheel replace the old brake pads. because the new disk will be thicker, and you will be not able to slide it beetween brake pads. Replacing the brake pads- its better to see..Here is the manual:
Some guys leave the brake disk on, some remove the four bolts and leave the disc in the caliper.
Just unbolt the wheel and remove the axle. A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

For Front \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ remove any disk guards, there are two bolts that connect the caliper to the fork remove those, use the screwdriver again to loosen the grip. then Remove the screw and take out pads and put the new ones back it ,then put the screw back in. pump brakes before you ride.
